Ipod Earphones vs. Noise Cancelling Headphones

The iPod has really taken the lead in portable music technology with their funky new designs and ability to download 4 to 60GBs of songs in a single hit. However in my praise of Apples technology there is one serious fault with the iPod, this being the trademark white earphones. These flimsy headphones are an insult to the iPod technology and prevent the user from benefiting from their full listening experience. In fact in light of new noise cancelling headphone technology, the old school earphones are worthy of a place in the trash!

With the new technology of noise cancelling headphones on the rise, music goers will finally have the adequate equipment to enhance their listening experience. In the general public iPods are used frequently weather it be in airplanes, on public transport or walking from place to place. Nevertheless with its frequent use comes the distraction of outside noise and with that comes the excessive noise levels of the user trying to drown out the background noise instead of cancelling the noise. All these factors play on our ears and can cause long-term effects. Yet there is hope, noise cancelling headphones cancels out the background noise of everyday events and puts you on a one on one term with you and your music.

The next big move in ipod accessories will without doubt be noise cancelling headphones for this reason; an individual would not consider connecting low grade speakers to a high quality sound systems so why do it with head phones? Already other labels have begun a market change and have added the new noise cancelling feature to their headphone line. Taking off without a hitch, noise cancelling headphones are set to be not just the must have accessory but also a new fixation dealing with sound technology.

3G IPhone Mania - Your Discount Cards Will Save You!

The latest buzz about cell phones as of press time is the white, candy shape Apple iPhone 3rd generation. The hype started on blogs. People are itching their hands on this remarkable gadget. Maybe you are also awaiting its spectacular upgrade? This trendy mobile phone shows us some spirited genuine design and features. I may be able to anticipate its features but I have a hunch that I could be wrong.

The touch sensitive iPhone is great and surely the crisps sound can surely deliver nice tunes but I am skeptic of its efficiency on its video calling features. Hope I am wrong but it could be.

Remember, this valuable hot item is to be release this December. Hopefully, its viral marketing success catches everyone's attention to grab it or even just watch it, up-close and personal. Well, it is a great buy and a most sought after gift this Christmas.

To outsmart and out with other consumers, I have this advice for you. Better search for sites that authentically sell the first batch of iPhones and find any discount codes or coupon codes of this hot item.

How can you find these codes? It is easy; we do not need to be good code breakers to find the code just like the movie "Da Vinci Code". Well, you have to type search those keywords on popular search engines and it would really benefit you the most because these can be easily reach by ordinary people like you.

The challenge starts here, the coupon codes may serve you well but be sure to get it from the right source or you will ended up paying more if you got them from an untrusted web sites.

If you realize that you can save more through these coupons. Then later on I bet my two cents that you will also do the same again and again on purchasing your next buy. Well, I warn you it is truly addictive activity if you are a cheap bastard. I mean, you are a spendthrift person. It is better to have some savings than being bankrupt who is rich in debt.

I hope that what I said would let you realized that if you receive some shopping codes on Supermarkets take it as a blessing. It is a good habit to take those blessings even it amounted to a little of what you seemed to think of. Please take note that extra hours and diligence on your part to take the codes to fruition is a must.

You must know that it takes a little extra to make you an extraordinary person. Try to search on electronics coupons code now.

How to Make Money From Video Marketing

If you look all over the Internet you will find that video sites are starting to popup left and right, and there is a reason for this. Video sites are becoming huge and very popular all across the world. Probably the most popular of them all is YouTube.com.

Now you can cash in on these sites popularity and start generating your own income by creating web videos that sell. When it comes to making videos for the web that sell there is a right way to do it and a wrong way. Most people unknowingly do it the wrong way.

Lets take a look at the basic setup you will first need in order to crate a web video.

1. Computer
2. Webcam or camcorder, either one will work
3. Access to the Internet
4. Basic video editing software
5. YouTube.com account

Ok so once you have those five things setup you are ready to get started. Now the fun really begins. You first want to record your video. This can take some time if you do not plan it out. I suggest writing what you want to say on paper first then go from there.

The next step after you record your video is to upload it to your computer. I recommend you save it as either a movie file or an AVI file as these have good quality. Once you have it on your computer the next step is to open it up in some type of basic video editing software program.

After you open it up in the video editing program now you will want to add text over top of your video so you can right messages, or type the link to your website. This will allow people to see either your message or link to your website while they watch your video.

Now comes the easiest part, and that is to upload your video to your brand new You Tube account you created. One thing I recommend you do after you upload it to You Tube is in your video description put your link to your website. This will turn it into a link people can click on while watching your video. This is a great way to get traffic to your site.

With that said video sites are growing, and they are a great way to get free web traffic to your website it a matter just a few hours or days. It is easy to do once you get the hang of it, and it is completely free. The only expense involved is buying the webcam if you do not already have one.

Quick tip, the best videos are ones that are short, and funny. If you do not like being in front of the camera you can easily just make a video with music and images as they work well also.

Digital Camera Binoculars - A Good Idea?

Digital Camera Binoculars are a great concept, combining binoculars with a digital camera to record the images seen, what a great idea for nature lovers, particularly the birding fraternity, imagine being able to take some pictures or video clips of what you're enjoying at the moment to enjoy again later. So what is really to these types of binoculars and how are they performing?

They are produced by several well known brands, Bushnell have their Imageview range, Celestron their Vistapix range, the Captureview comes from Meade and another of the same name from Simmons, and brands like Barska and Vivitar are also represented in the field of digital camera binoculars.

Generally speaking they are available in the smaller apertures from 21mm to 32mm, probably in order to keep the weight and therefore the image shake at acceptable levels. I guess when you have to allow for the weight of the electronics and batteries you start to push the envelope on how much weight can be allowed for the optics while making the overall unit light enough to use comfortably.

But there is the catch in the concept. Limiting the aperture and therefore the amount of light to these low resolution CCD chips is not exactly going to help you catch a good image. In fact quite the opposite. This has not gone unnoticed by consumers who time and again report the optical quality of the binoculars to be fine but the picture and video capture to be poor.

The general opinion seems to be that the concept is perhaps a little bit ahead of its time and future developments will be more promising. Personally I prefer pics taken through a spotting scope any day, they are more built for the job and their large apertures allow plenty of light to make its way to your digital camera coupled to the business end.

Overall opinion - a nice concept which needs more work!

Apple Laptops Review - Latest Laptop Series, History, Trend, Strengths and Weaknesses

Apple Inc., formerly known as Apple Computer, Inc., can be referred to as one of the multinational corporations based in America with focus on manufacturing and designing consumer electronics, along with closely-related software products. Established on 1st of April, 1976 in Cupertino (California) and having incorporated on 3rd of January, 1977, company was named 'Apple Computer, Inc.' till the year 2006, but had the word 'Computer' dropped on 9th of January, 2007, in order to have ongoing expansion of company in to market of consumer electronics, apart from conventional focus on the personal computers. Apple can boast of having strength of 20,000 employees all over the world. The time period between 1989 and 1991 was known as the 'Golden Age' in the expansion of Apple. Apple went on with the introduction of 'Apple Portable'. It was, however, not accepted by the masses. Later on, Apple went for its advanced version called 'Powerbook 100'. It was then that Apple notebooks started gaining recognition. Apple's reputation started growing and there was no looking back after that. The nineties were a very difficult time for apple due to strategic decisions and for many customer confusion, Apple market share and results plunged to an almost extinction. It took the return of Steve Jobs and his vision to resuscitate the brand through a series of innovations and complete redesign of the product offering and marketing.

Apple Laptops

Apple is amongst the most renowned words in the computer industry. Products manufactured by Apple benefit from an amazing aura and in general are superior to its competition both from the technical and software aspect. The principal reason behind the success of Apple products is that they are innovative, intuitive and different than the rest of the marketplace. Their ranges of desktops, laptops and the popular iPods have made Apple one of the most trustworthy brands in the electronics market. Lately iPhone has been added to this successful product offering (although some technical issues have shown that even Apple can have some issues with its products).

Today, Apple notebooks are called 'MacBooks'. In the year 2005, apple went on to join hands with Intel Corporation in order to opt for dual core processor technology. Intel 950 media accelerator motherboards were also used for this purpose. These processors are amongst the most sophisticated ones with 2 cores on one chipwhich has translated in less power usage and speed increase.

Apple notebooks are proposed in three lines, they are the MacBook which are the cheapest models designed for everyday users, the MacBook Air for the road warriors and MacBook pro for the heavy users.

  • The MacBook is equipped with 13.3 -inch TFT display. The frequency of its processor is either 2.1 or 2.4 GHz based on the model you choose. The RAM is either 1 GB or 2 GB. The hard drive space goes from 120 GB to 250 GB; there is a DVD burner, built in camera, wifi, Bluetooth and all the necessary connections. The cost goes from $1,099 to $1,499. For a Mac that's as cheap as it gets. If you are used to Windows laptop pricing, that may seem like a lot of money, but you are buying a MAC, that means top product, top software at a top price. Just suggest to a Mac user to switch to windows laptops and you will understand why Apple can charge premium pricing, Mac does not have customers per say, they have raving fans.Anyhow, this "entry level" laptop gives you plenty of power for most regular computer use; If you are a heavy gamers or a heavy database programmer, this laptop is probably not for you.

  • The MacBook Air. like the MacBook, comes with a13.3 -inch TFT display. It has 1.6 GB processor and 2 GB of RAM. The hard drive has a capacity of 80 GB, there is a DVD burner, built in camera, wifi, Bluetooth and a few peripheral connections. Why buy the MacBook Air? First, ultra portability; at 3 pounds and a maximum thickness of 0.76 inch, this is currently the thinnest/lightest laptop with a 13.3 display screen. Second, let's face it, it's about style and status. This laptop is not very fast, has limited space and peripherals, but if you are a light user (i.e. email, web surfing...) who wants to make statement about style, look no further, this is your laptop. Price is either $1,799 or $2,598 based on the model you are looking for.

  • The MacBook Pro. This laptop is the work horse in the Mac family; it has a 15.4 or 17 -inch TFT display. The frequency of its processor is either 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 GHz based on the model you choose. The RAM is either 2 GB or 4 GB. The hard drive space goes from200 GB to 250 GB; there is a DVD burner, built in camera, wifi, Bluetooth and all the required connections. The cost goes from $1,999 to $2,799. This is the Mac that you want to use if you are a graphic artist, programmer, gamer or simply like speed, space and big screen.

Mac laptops are in a different category from all other laptops, that is both their strength and their limitation. Their operating system is still at that time far ahead of Vista in terms of ease of use, dependability and versatility. The equipment is controlled 100% by Apple and their quality is truly exceptional. On the downside, if you want use windows or have a lot of windows software you need to buy an additional Windows license on top of the regular cost of the laptops. Macs are expensive but they deliver an outstanding customer experience and for many, it's well worth the price.

Ipod Touch - The WIFI Experience

The Apple IPod touch 16 GB is currently the best flash-based media player around, with a stunning, even revolutionary new gesture-based user interface that works. I would have liked a significantly larger main storage, but it's very good as it is now. As a media player it's main drawback derives from the purely touch-based interface: it could have profited from a better rotary controller for 'blind' control. The feature that separates the Touch from the rest is the addition of another great feature: WiFi web browsing. WiFi based music purchase is a nice bonus. This Touch also has the software upgrade.

The Apple IPod touch 16 GB also comes with a number of sometimes artificial limitations that I hope will be resolved in the future. All in all I'm very, very satisfied with the Touch, even though the Touch experience can clearly be improved (e.g. by removing application restrictions, being able to pull in shared ITunes Libraries, sharing songs wireless, syncing wireless etc.).

ADVANTAGE

- great "video" IPod

- WiFi web browsing with Safari

- wide range of supported file formats (audio, video, images)

- great display

- phenomenally sharp images

- drop-dead gesture/touch interface

- both NTSC and PAL

- iTunes store wireless

- TV PAL and NTSC out

DISADVANTAGE

- no playlist groups

- difficult to use 'blind'

- no contrast control for movies

- no disk mode

- non-standard AV connector

- artificial limitations on Calendar application

- no Mail, Notes, Games applications

- can't access iTunes shared libraries on WLAN

- can't share songs with other Touch iPods

- no wireless synching

- 16GB can be small when ripping movies for Touch's resolution

- no WiFi ITunes PodCasts

VIN Number Decoding For Classic Muscle Cars

One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given in regards to buying a classic muscle car was to invest in high quality resource materials so I could crack the code on Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) to make sure that I was not getting scammed.

The best way to find a high quality book is to find what the experts are using. With the internet, you can type a subject like Camaro restoration book into the Amazon search box. You can also Google it and follow the links, which will take you to various forums and websites. Chevrolet by the Numbers, by Alvin Colvin, is the best book I have ever found for Chevrolet part numbers, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN), trim tags, and model ID. The book is an easy read, with chapters designated to the different components. Again, I used this process in my quest to purchase a rare Camaro. Just Google the car you are looking for and follow the links. The best resources will be obvious.

Here is a list of objects you will need when decoding your car.

Small flashlight, notebook, resource or reference book, mechanics mirror, pen or pencil, cordless or corded droplight, floor jack and jack-stands, coveralls, rags, brass wire brush, brake cleaner, yellow or white colored grease pencil, digital camera or camcorder.

If you are continuing to read this information, I can only surmise that buying a classic muscle car with the proper numbers and matching parts is important to you! Good! It should be! If this is true, I will walk you through an example of decoding a car. This will give you an idea of what it takes to properly decode a car.

Be prepared to take your time. I also discovered a sure fire way to determine who your true friends are. Ask them to go along to help you decode a car! Having an extra body can sometimes cut your time in half. I also recommend finding an expert or consultant on your car, and buying a couple of hours their time, especially if you are looking to purchase a special model classic car. It's been my experience that an extra set of eyes can only help the cause. I found an expert through one of my reference books. Prior to me going to look at my current car, I spent about an hour talking with him, and making a list of things I should be looking for. (Of course, if you want someone to handle the process from A to Z, services are available. This is a great option if you are buying the car from remote.)

The Process

Before I arrived the owner told me the car was basically a roller project, meaning the engine and transmission were removed from the car. The engine, transmission and other components were placed in a pile where it would be easy to look at the numbers. The owner also claimed it was a limited edition Camaro, yet he didn't have any paperwork like an original order invoice, or a protect o plate (a special metal plate shaped like a credit card that is used for warranty and repair services). This type of paperwork trail eliminates the need for further documentation. If you do not have this type of paperwork, then follow along. When I arrived at the location where the car was stored, the first thing I did was to check the VIN number. The VIN number is probably the most important number on a car. If you do not know how to decode a VIN on a particular Chevrolet, you will be unable to verify other components or numbers. What is nice about the book is it actually walks you through the whole decoding process, including providing the specific numbers location. As a sidebar, any good resource book on your particular make and model car will outline the way to decode your car, including number locations and decoding info. On 1968 and 1969 Camaros, the VIN number is located on the top of the dash board, on the drivers side. The number is visible through the windshield. I wiped the dirt and dust off of the VIN tag, and copied the numbers into my notebook.

VIN number

I was able to determine that my car was originally a V8, it was a 2 door sport coupe, made in 1969, assembled in Norwood Ohio, and it was the 662,8XXrd car built at that plant in that year.

Trim tag.

In 1969, all Camaro trim tags were located in the engine compartment, riveted on the upper left hand corner of the firewall. I took my rag and cleaned all of the dust and gunk off of the trim tag. Since the numbers were not that clear, I recleaned the trim tag, and removed the rest of the gunk. I used my flashlight to illuminate the numbers, and then copied the numbers into my notebook. Some of the trim tag numbers matched up with the VIN tag numbers, which was a good sign. The remaining numbers indicated that my car body was number 353,XXX to come down this plant's assembly line. The interior was originally a standard black interior, and the car was built in the first week of June, 1969. The car was originally painted dusk blue and it was equipped with a spoiler package and a chrome trim package. So far everything was lining up. The reason for all of this detail is to illustrate how you can confirm that what you think you are buying is exactly what you are getting.

Before I move on, I want to share how this is relevant. A husband and wife from my car club went to look at a Chevelle. The car was advertised as a Super Sport. During the inspection process, and referencing the above book, they uncovered a number of inconsistencies. According to the numbers, the car had originally started out as a plain Jane 6 cylinder car. The car was now painted a different color, had a different color interior and a different engine. You get the picture. Over the years, one (or more) of the previous owners modified the car and tried to make it into a Super Sport. The point is it may have not been done maliciously, but the car still did not start out as a true Super Sport. And having the Super Sport option obviously raises the value of the car.

Engine code identification.

The engine is stamped in (2) places on a 69 Camaro. One is on the right front engine pad. The other location is on the rough casting portion on the rear of the engine, just above the oil filter. Again I wiped off the areas I just described with brake cleaner sprayed on a rag. You need to have a clean surface, and normally brake cleaner will do the trick. The front engine pad numbers appeared to have been restamped at one time, maybe after the engine block was decked (Decking in a machine process to check the flatness of the block deck for irregularities that cause compression and water leaks.) The tricky part is reading the numbers on the area above the oil filter. I recommend a really bright light and a magnifying glass. If that doesn't do it, then I suggest taking a little muriatic acid an applying it to the numbers. This should make the numbers readable. The reason this number is sometimes hard to decipher is because these engines were hand stamped, and punched onto a rough surface. According to the numbers, I determined the engine was a 425 horsepower high performance engine, with a 4 speed manual transmission. The last numbers also corresponded with the last numbers in my VIN, which meant this was the original engine to this car. The numbers told me the engine was assembled June 14, which fell in line with the build date. The engine block part number that is cast into the rear of the block was cleaned with a rag and brake cleaner as well. The block part number indicated ahigh performance block used for Camaros. Another piece of the puzzle confirmed.

Rear axle identification.

The numbers on a Camaro rear axle are stamped on the top of the right axle tube. My experience has been that this area is normally pretty crusty and rusty. And this rear axle was no exception. After considerable wire brushing, I wiped the area clean with brake cleaner. Laying on my back, I shone the light on the area, while holding a mirror. It still wasn't clear enough for me to read accurately. I then took my grease pencil, and ran it over the numbers. The purpose of the grease pencil is to provide contrast with the metal of the axle tube. When I put the mirror back over the area, I was rewarded with a very sharp image of the part numbers, which I copied into my notebook. According to the numbers, this rear axle assembly had a 4.10:1 gear ratio, limited slip. The axle was assembled June 16, 1969. Are you seeing a pattern starting to appear here? The axle numbers also indicated the axle to be original to the car based on the dates codes referencing June 1969 build date. I took the same approach with the other parts.

Here are my findings. The cylinder heads, intake manifold, carburetor, and transmission were the correct part numbers for the car. However none of these parts were date coded to the car. One of the heads was manufactured in April 1968, the other head was manufactured in February of 1969. The transmission was manufactured Jan 24th 1969. The reason I know all of these parts are not correctly date coded to the car is I decoded each one, by researching the part numbers, and date codes. All of this information is important, because not only did it verify what the owner had told me, and it also showed that the other parts were in line with the build date. Thereby providing further confirmation of what I was looking at. During my investigating, I took pictures with a digital camera of all of the parts and part numbers, as best as i could. I spent about 30 minutes walking around the car with a video camera and editorializing what I was taking footage of. I also took the list of things the Camaro expert had told me about and checked them off one by one. Later in the week I called the Camaro expert and shared my findings. I reviewed all of my research, including going over the individual part numbers, and the "things to look for" checklist. By the end of the phone call, I was 99 percent positive that this Camaro was what it was being advertised as.

The last thing I did was to have the car documented and certified by a Certified Camaro appraiser.

GM also stamped hidden VIN numbers in (2) different places on the car. The reason for the hidden VIN numbers was to add another step in preventing and identifying a stolen car. Because it is fairly easy to remove and swap out the VIN tag on the dash, the hidden VIN's provided a back-up system of check and balances. For example, someone could possibly swap out a VIN tag, but if they didn't know about the Hidden VIN numbers, a person in the know could easily identify the numbers not matching up. Because the car was bought a roller project, it was easy to check these hidden VIN's, against the VIN tag on the dash. I wanted the appraiser to check them personally, and he confirmed the numbers as matching and authentic. In other words the certificate authenticates the car. Many appraisers will also supply you with a report on their findings. The nice thing about having a car certified is this type of paperwork is normally viewed as iron clad documentation. It normally raises the value of the car, because of the authenticity certificate. And if you ever go to sell the car, now you have documentation to provide the seller that the car is a real (Super Sport, Rally Sport, Z/28, etc. You fill in the blank)

Some people may wonder why would anyone go through all of this work.

However, keep in mind that many of these muscle cars are 20 plus years old and have gone through numerous owners and modifications. All of that history is prior to it being restored back to showroom original condition. In other words, many parts are bolt on and interchangeable from other models and different years. So just because the parts look ok, doesn't mean that they even belong on the car. In the above example about the couple and the Chevelle, the car was priced as a Super Sport, yet the trim tag and other numbers reflected a totally different story. Even though the car was beautifully restored, it was really nothing more than a modified 6 cylinder, base model Chevelle that someone converted over to a V-8 at some time in it's life. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with modifying a car to an individual owners taste. The issue is when the car is sold and the seller forgets to mention (consciously or unconsciously) and inform the new owner of the modifications. Our Chevelle couple would have gladly paid the asking price if the car was a true Super Sport. But, because they knew how to decode the car, they were able to save themselves a lot of time, money and aggravation. At the time the difference between a plain Jane Chevelle and a real Super Sport was over $10,000. Just to throw some numbers out there, let's be conservative and say it takes 6 hours of research to decode a car. Using our $10,000 figure, that equates to approximately $1,600 an hour. Not a bad return on your time investment. As muscle and classic cars have become more popular, I have seen many cases where just for the fun of it, an owner will start to do research on a car he or she owns.

Discovering your car isn't really what you thought you purchased can really knock the wind out of you. By investing a small amount of money, and time, in researching and decoding your prospective muscle car purchase you can sleep at night knowing that you received the value you paid for. Anyone else interested in investing a couple of hours for peace of mind when purchasing a classic or muscle car???

How to Build a Search Engine

This program started out as a simple text search.

The flowchart, to do the line wrap and match hi-lights
took 3 days. It worked like a charm. (see the links
to these charts below)

Step 1 complete. Search and display text results.

Next was the ability to search text and call up pictures.
When a match was found on a line and the following line had
the path to a picture, then that picture was displayed.

We scanned in and cataloged 5000+ family pictures and
used that as a test base.

Changes were made so the search could run as a screen
saver. Then with a random option, because sequential
became boring fast.

Then came VIDEO and Music. Being able to start and stop
anywhere in a video clip, slow motion and freeze frame
are the main features. I've had a mini dvd camcorder for
4 years now. Desktop Search makes computers and video fun.

The very early version (1999) of the search has way less
functionality but is valuable as a stripped down search.
(Code documentation details the evolution of this program)

To make this app a net search, or create Linux, Mac and C
versions, should be quite simple, when there are just 10,000
lines of VB 5 that has lots of comments and deactivated
testing lines. A URL would be loaded instead of a picture.

It's very scalable. It currently runs as a background job.
A few thousand copies searching designated data sections,
should do the trick.

All my notes, emails and net clippings since 1999 amount to 75M
At 20,000,000 cps it takes just over 3 seconds. (4 year old laptop)

Another must have feature of any Desktop Search is notepad capabilities.
If you don't keep notes what do you keep?

Before computer search, people had recipe books, phone and address books.
They kept notes short and to the point. When looking for something they
had to read-scan the text. With computer search you can keep much more
detailed notes and store it all, in one file if you like.

Keep every bit of printed information that is worthwhile. It won't
amount to all that much. Mine's next to nothing at 75M. No need for
indexing desktop search; like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft.

Having all your photos, music and telephone videos readily available
and this software to play random selections can be entertaining. It's
quick to add search detail for these files or video segments. It can
flash through photos at 10 per second and faster. Sample your videos,
music, pictures and text in the same screen saver.

This app is relatively SECURE for text. In display mode the text can
not be cut or copied. (The extract capability would have to be disabled.)
Having the original file encrypted and the decrytion taking place on the fly
adds to security.

Other features are: Merge, Search and Replace, Selected photo or song
to copy, directory list, differences between 2 files and some lesser
functions that make searching useful.

I have looked at some of the others. The more I looked the more
I loved this desktop search. The thing I like most is that all my
searches can be done in full text mode. With search, it is ALWAYS
the context one is looking for. I know the name "Joe Smith" when
I search. It is his phone# or a person I met with him that I am
interested in. Context context context. The other searches give
you gibberish from their index files, before you see the real data.

This search is leading the pack in simplicity, expandability, usefulness
and speed. Gets the data up on the screen fast.

I can explain and demonstrate this search; from the Very early source
code, Flowcharts, Documentation and by using numerous video examples.

If this Search makes it to the next level and becomes a Net Search, with
all it's multimedia capabilities then look out, to the rest. Random video,
random music, random jokes, excitement.

2. No longer do you need to drive to the bookstore or the library to get the book you want or have to wait for a number of days before it gets delivered. What you do is log into Amazon and then just download the eBook you are interested in after you have purchased it from them.

6. You don't have to pay any fees in order to use the Kindle wireless reader if you want to do some browsing online.

7. Each Kindle comes with a rechargeable battery that will last for several days once fully charged. Plus it also offers the facility to allow you to actually use it even when the battery is being charged.

8. Also not only can you download plain text files on to your Kindle to read, but it has the option to allow you to download mp3 files as well. This means that as you read you can listen to some great music as well.

9. Along with the Kindle being light weight it is very user friendly and navigating around it is extremely easy. You no longer need to spend time turning pages yourself as this device does it for you and so as you read you won't have to scroll up and down it.

10. This will make the perfect gift for those who say that they have everything or if you are having problems deciding what gift to get someone you care for. However, if they already have one of these not only are they lucky but you could purchase some electronic reading material for it for them.

Although the cost getting one is high and at the moment finding them to purchase is a problem they are worth the investment. Certainly if you are having problems finding one on Amazon then there are other options available.

Panasonic 32" LCD Screens - Which One Should I Choose?

Panasonic have won just about every award going for their last few ranges - if you pick a Panasonic 32" LCD you're definitely following the advice of most of the major AV magazines. They're not the cheapest LCD screens on the market but do offer outstanding quality and a superb viewing experience. Here we run down three of the best choices of 32" Panasonic screens

The Panasonic TX-32LXD85 is actually the top of the range 32" model from their last range - it's still available at the major electrical retailers and often at a bargain price. This model received great reviews and performance is arguably very similar to the current range - the TX32LXD85 model had upgraded speakers so the sound should be better than the '80' model. You can often get a really good price on this model but they are no longer being manufactured so if you spot one you like get it then as it may be the last one you see - it's a top quality Panasonic 32 LCD screen for a often a bargain price.

The next model is the Panasonic TX-32LZD80 which is part of Panasonics latest range the LZD - Which magazine rated it as 'just about the best 32" LCD Screen you can buy" . All round perfomance is excellent and it's yet to receive a bad review from any of the digital press or major AV magazines. It's quite a straight forward choice if you've ruled out the older model above - if you're not too bothered about sound (or you're attaching a home cinema system) this is probably the best Panasonic 32 LCD screen for you.

If you don't want more wires and still want better sound then the Panasonic TX-32LZD85 is probably the correct choice - the TX32LZD85 has much improved speakers built into the frame - the 85 is the flagship model so there are also a couple of minor image processing improvements but the speakers are the main change. If you are using external speakers it's not worth the extra cash.

Whichever of the above HDTV screens you choose I'm sure you won't be disappointed - all the current Panasonic 32" LCD screens are at the top of the pile.

Wireless Thermometers - Mourning Two Pins and a Magnet

I love all things wireless. Cables and wires have always found a way to get wrapped up between my feet. I broke my first thermometer sometime around the beginning of the 90's, in Crossgates, Leeds. It was winter and the weather forecast was predicting a particularly cold night. Being the weather buff/geek that I am I decided to trail the outdoor thermometer cable as far out of the window as I could, to record the overnight minimum. A simple enough exercise except I had to leave the window open so as to not trap the cable. Unfortunately I woke up freezing in the small hours and, in a sleep induced haze, pulled the window tight shut, severing the wire sufficiently for the outdoor function to never work again.

This started a pattern of tripping, kicking and general weather station abuse until the wireless phenomenon came to my rescue. Suddenly the black cables reaching from the mantelpiece across the cream wall and into the back garden were a thing of the past. Wireless thermometers or weather stations allowed me to close all windows on a cold night if I so wished and still get an accurate overnight temperature. An important factor for gardeners, farmers and weather geeks alike.

A wireless thermometer (or weather station) is a simple device which allows you to check the weather outside without ever actually venturing out there yourself. You fit the outdoor probe to whichever part of the garden or house you like and it wirelessly sends the current temperatures and recent historical temperature data to your weather station positioned inside, preferably next to your favourite chair beside the fire with a hot mug of cocoa and a biscuit.

The technology is moving on quickly these days as with all things wireless, and it is now possible to get a fully functional wireless weather station recording all aspects of the weather from wind speed and temperature to humidity and pressure. They can also look good too, with more and more aesthetically pleasing stations being produced in a multitude of designs and colours.

There is a part of me that misses some of the more traditional thermometers though. My dad had an old fashioned U-shaped mercury thermometer with 2 pins and a magnet on the garage wall. Each night you would move the pin with the magnet to the top of the mercury column and the next morning wherever the pin had reached its highest point indicated the coldest overnight temperature. And then we would tap the barometer to check the air pressure. No more tapping with wireless! Oh well, times change and so must we.

Incidentally, I still have my first weather station, complete with the severed cable. It records the temperature indoors just fine, however the outdoor display is permanently stuck on -50 degrees Celsius. I don't think we'll be seeing temperature like that in Britain until the next ice age.

Contracts Mobile Phone - Great Offers For To Buy Excellent Mobile Phones

If you have a mobile phone with 3G technology, dual camera, video player, music player, Bluetooth and EDGE technology and which is connected with a network operator that provides contract mobile phone deal, that means you can access and enjoy high tech multimedia at the cost of minimal prices that nobody else can. For this, you can compare, search and purchase online at retailing sites and mobile phone shops. These online stores in the UK have stored handsets from the leading players like Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and many more.

Like everything on earth contract mobile phones too have its share of pros and cons. But its advantages far exceed its disadvantages. You can buy contract mobile phones from online mobile stores like BuyMobilePhones-Deals.UK. Online availability of contract mobile phone means one does not require the trouble of physically hunting which service provider to opt for. The online facilities showcase a number of services from different network service providers and mobile manufacturers. You can take your pick of service provider and the model of your choice with low tariffs and unbelievable features.

Apart this If you are going to Buy Contract Mobile Phone deal its important to get a deal that includes how many minutes and messages you need. This may seem like common sense, but many people purchase deals that include a much higher usage than they need, therefore they are paying out a much higher direct debit per month then they don't have too. Cash back deals can save you money but ensure you are not lured in to a deal over your usage just because you receive your entire line rental back as cash back. Remember you still need to pay the higher direct debit each month and your first cash back payment will only be paid out (usually) at the earliest at month 4 of your contract.

Flip Video Tips - Why Folks Are Flipping Over This Tiny Video Camera

What do megastars Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston have in common? They're all flipping out over Pure Digital's Flip camera! Other Flip fanatics include Rosie O'Donnell, Pamela Anderson and the Barack Obama campaign...

It's not just celebrities who are flipping over the Flip... Rave reviews have come in from all corners of the media world, from Time magazine, ABC News and Extra TV to the Wall Street Journal, CNN and USA Today.

With product evangelists like that, perhaps it's no surprise that Pure Digital just sold their one millionth Flip Video Camcorder! The Flip has been the number one best-selling video camera on Amazon since its launch, and the camera's popularity shows no signs of abating.

In fact, Flip just released their newest and slimmest model yet, the Flip Mino. (pronounced "minnow"). The Flip cam has made shooting and uploading videos easier than ever. They have simplified the world of online video and leveled the playing field so that anyone can play!

Shooting videos with the Flip couldn't be easier, and the camera's simple interface makes recording a breeze. Just point, press record and shoot! When you're done, "flip" open the Flip's USB port, plug it into your computer and upload video instantly to the web. The Flip's built-in software even gives you the option to quickly and easily upload your video directly to YouTube, AOL Video and - with the new Flip Mino, you can upload right to MySpace, too!

It's convenient, easy to use and affordable. No wonder consumers and the media alike are gushing over the Flip...

In July, 2008, for example, the Flip won Business Week's IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) Gold honors in the entertainment category. Business Week raved:

"This is the first camcorder to simplify the process of capturing and sharing video. With integrated software, the Ultra enables editing, organizing and seamless uploading to AOL, YouTube and other video sharing sites. Challenged to develop a product that communicates this simplicity in a fun and user friendly manner, the design team focused on the form factor, ergonomics and control layout. The result is a highly-compact camera that can fit in any pocket and provide unmatched portability and intuitive use for capturing, editing and sharing high-quality video."

The Flip was also high on the list of TIME magazine's "25 Gotta Have Travel Gadgets," calling the minicam "so easy a technophobic wife can use it." Here's what TIME had to say about the new Flip Mino model:

"Finally, a video camera so easy, a technophobic wife can use it. That's precisely the point of Flip's Mino, a cigarette-pack sized video recorder that's basically built around a big, fat, red RECORD button: Better to have a cute video camera that you'll toss into your pocketbook and use, instead of a big, complicated beast that stays home. Two gigabytes of internal memory provide 60 minutes of record time. A rechargeable battery lasts around four hours and a USB plug built onto the device lets you plug it in to a PC or Mac and automatically upload your riveting movies of Grandpa Ernie standing in front of a restaurant on the Left Bank to Myspace, YouTube or AOL."

And U.S. News & World Report claimed that no video camera is easier to use than the Flip. The magazine's David LaGesse gushes: "The Flip has made its mark with its ease of use. I know from experience that a 6-year-old can handle it. Push the red button to record; push it again to stop. Hit the play button to review clips. Plug the built-in USB connector into a PC, and a few mouse clicks later you have video online."

So what are you waiting for? Whether you go for the new $180 (USD) Mino, or the earlier and less-expensive $130 - $150 Ultra, you gotta get a Flip!

Plasma TV Lifespan

The lifespan of a plasma TV, contrary to rumor, is great. Also, the technology is ever advancing to produce better televisions that will last even longer. Most manufacturers will give an approximate lifespan of 60,000 hours for their plasma televisions. That's 20 to 25 years of normal viewing before the screen begins to noticeably dim. This is a new number that reflects the improvements made to the technology in recent years. In the infancy of the plasma television, the lifespan was only 30,000 to 40,000 hours; a substantial improvement. After the television begins to dim, many models give you the option of replacing the light source, which renews the life of the unit.

There are several new technologies that have helped to increase the lifespan of plasma televisions. First we have the pixel orbiter. The orbiter quickly swaps the color of adjacent pixels when a static image is being displayed. This creates a sense of picture change for the television itself but it practically impossible for the viewer to see. This almost single-handedly eliminates the threat of burn-in. Another software component of Anti-Burn technology searches out pixels that have been on too long and shuts them off for a short period of time to allow them to rest. These advantages prevent burn-in and, by attending to pixel health, extend the lifespan of plasma televisions.

A good tip for plasma television users is to watch as many shows as possible in widescreen format. This helps prevent a quality difference from developing between the inner pixels and the outer ones that would be neglected when sidebars appear. Also, keep brightness levels as low as possible. If you have your television in a bright room, you don't need to keep the brightness at 100%. Reducing this takes some of the strain off of the pixels and phosphors and helps lengthen lifespan. One last tip to increase the life of your plasma television is to keep it in a cool, well-ventilated location. A cool atmosphere reduces the amount of work done by the internal cooling components and helps the phosphors work longer.

Plasma televisions provide a large screen (42 inches and up) for considerably less than a comparable size LCD. Knowing this, we see that even if television manufacturers are exaggerating the average lifespan of their plasma models, these units are still a better value than an LCD. Obviously, a first generation plasma television presents concerns for owners. They must more actively monitor the health of their screens. However, looking at the newer model plasmas and the future of the technology, it must be conceded that a plasma television's lifespan is long enough for any average user.

Best USB Audio Interface Review

As more and more audio recording is done with computers, the need for easily connecting instruments and other equipment to it has increased. Whether you can't (or won't) open your computer to install hardware (such as a PCI card) or you need portable recording, a USB audio interface can fulfill that need in an external unit with nothing but a USB connection to your computer.

We've found the three best USB audio interface units that sound great and have plenty of all the necessary inputs and outputs. Each of these units will produce quality recordings with low latency due to using the fast USB 2.0 connection and supporting the highest bit rates and frequencies, with lots of inputs and controls to not limit your recording. Here is our best USB audio interface review...

M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R Review

Description: 24-bit/96kHz professional audio on all I/O simultaneously. High-speed USB 2.0 interface. Comes with MX Core DSP technology. Monitor with effects while recording. Flexible channel routing options. Expands DSP mixing interface to 16 x 8. 8 preamps with award-winning M-Audio Octane technology. 8 XLR/TRS combo jacks for mic or line-level inputs. +48V phantom power. 20dB pad on each preamp. Signal/peak LED indicator lights. 2 front-panel 1/43 instrument inputs. 8 balanced TRS analog outputs. 2 analog inserts. S/PDIF digital I/O. Built-in 1 x 1 MIDI interface. 2 independent headphone outputs with individual volume control knobs. Rugged, lightweight metal chassis. Full ASIO 2.0, WDM, MME, Core Audio support. Compatible with most major audio production software. Dual headphone amp with two completely independent headphone outputs.

The M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R is the overall best USB audio interface. It's simply the best value for the money, with lots of high-quality inputs and outputs and plenty of controls. This portable and rack-mountable unit has eight quality mic/line inputs for recording up to eight sources simultaneously that will sound great and have a clear signal. The USB 2.0 connection isn't USB 1.1-compatible, but that isn't even an issue because recording via the outdated USB 1.1 has too much latency and should be avoided anyway. While the Fast Track Ultra 8R can't be bus-powered, that shouldn't be too much of an issue because it's not designed to be mobile anyway.

Pros: Octane preamps sound great and produce a clear signal. Lots of inputs and outputs. Inputs are hybrid XLR/line. Simple and clean interface easy to read and use. Solid construction with logical input arrangements (controls in the front, inputs in the back). Useful MX Core DSP software is included.

Cons: Can't be bus-powered.

Hey what about the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra and TASCAM US-1641? How do the stack up to the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R? Visit our site to find out and to read our full Best USB Audio Interface Review

Tips For Buying Underwater Digital Cameras

Often it is not possible to capture the beauty of underwater life with normal camera, but thanks to underwater models, now you can explore the marine life. An underwater camera is a special designed digital camera used for still and video photography to capture the amazing flora and fauna of marine life.

You can capture the still images of sea life or can shoot while scuba diving. Safely protected with waterproof casing, these models are designed to be fully submerged underwater and withstand any surrounding pressure. The smaller models of underwater cameras are normally ideal for up to two hundred feet to four hundred feet while the bigger devices are made for deeper water regions.

As compared to film-based underwater cameras, the underwater digital cameras are much better since they don't run out of film. Yon can also delete any bad shots or change to a lower resolution picture mode in low-light conditions. No more fuzzy backgrounds and edges as seen in film underwater devices, with their wide-angle photography, underwater digital cameras delivers sharper images.

Available in all sizes, shapes and film format, many underwater digital cameras also come with viewfinder feature which helps in picture adjustment for photography. With some nice prints, they produces better images which are really helpful for amateur photographers. However they are not only meant for deep-sea divers. Many underwater models available today can also be used to take quality pictures on dry land in harsh climatic conditions like snowfall and severe rains. Adorned with multi-flash function, color correction filter and macro lens, the underwater digital camera offers superb image quality. Just like normal digital camera, they also comes with 15MB of sufficient memory along with the storage, editing and manipulation software.

If you wonder which model of underwater digital camera to choose, what features to consider, then here is a briefly discussed guide on the features of some prominent underwater digital camera models.

Panasonic SDR-SW20:

This compact model is for those who want an easy-to-use and lightweight device. With 10x optical zoom and MPEG-2 format up to 10 Mbps, this is one of the best digital cameras available for video recording. However, with only 0.3MP 640x480 still imaging capability, the still imaging options are basically non-existent in this new model.

Pentax Optio W30:

One of the pioneers in underwater, the current Optio W30 comes with 7MP with ISO1600 and 3x optical zoom image recording feature. Supported by both SD and SDHC, videos in this model is of 640x480 in MOV QuickTime MJPEG format.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1:

This is the one of the best designed underwater photo devices for up to 5feet depth of water. With 4GB card, and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 at 640x480 powers, the Xacti E1 allows shooting with an approximate record time of over 5 hours. For still images, this device offers a solid 5x optical zoom with a 6MP CCD at up to ISO1600 power. One special key feature of this underwater digital camera is the flip out view screen which saves you from the risk of bumping in with underwater objects while swimming around.

Olympus SW series:

At 10 Megapixels, ISO1600, and a 3.6x optical zoom feature, Olympus may also be one of the most well rounded underwater models. With an underwater depth up to 6.6 feet, this is the deepest water digital camera on the list.

Intova IC-700 7.0MP digital camera with underwater housing:

Available in an affordable price of around $300, this underwater digital camera features 7 megapixels, macro mode and an in-built flash that can reach up to five feet underwater.

Lifespan of LCD TVs

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. LCD TVs are quite famous over the recent years due to their fault-less clarity and picture perfectness. Usually it is said that LCD has a greater lifespan than plasma TVs. But that does not mean that LCD TVs do not undergo wear and tear at all and work all through one's life. They too can undergo problems and other faults just like any other electronic device does. They generally work based upon the twisting and untwisting of the crystal.

The normal lifespan of LCD TVs is said to come to approximately 60, 000 hours. Some manufacturers also claim that their LCD TVs can last up to 80, 000 hours, when used under controlled conditions, like the room temperature, the other climatic conditions, the maintenance conditions etc. The display effect of these LCD TVs would definitely reduce as time passes by, because they are constantly being lit by powerful lights that could dim, just like the other electronic devices, over a period of time. This results in the picture getting dim as time goes by. Hence, the most important thing to be considered in an LCD TV is the actual lifespan of the light source of the LCD. There should be good warrantee provided for the light source of the LCD TV as this is the mean thing that controls the picture effects and clarity.

The quality of this light source is important to maintain the perfect white balance in the LCD TV. The back lighting bulb should be definitely of higher quality for the longevity of the TV. So it is better paying more for the branded ones that offer exchange or maintenance warranty rather than the cheap ones that do not have any warranties on them. Also the contrast levels have to be taken care of. The more the contrast levels, for a longer period of time, the faster the TV would age off. The lower the ambient light levels, the more the life of the light source.

Some Sharp LCD TVs provide separate units that have the light source, whereas the others have the light source placed along with the other units and so if the light source is out, the whole LCD TV becomes a waste. The main thing to be considered here and always to be remembered is the warranty of the back light. Unlike the other types of television the LCD TVs cannot be used for the whole lifetime because of its limited lifetime. The light beams are the main source used in the working of an LCD TV. When compared with the plasma television the LCD TVs have a short lifetime and the maintenance of the device is also easy when compared with the normal televisions.

Camouflaged Exercise

Yesterday my brother came home with a new toy; a high-definition camcorder.

Now I love gadgets, and one of the features this thing has is the ability to record movement in slow motion, so he was eager to put it to the test and asked if he could film me doing a few exercises.

"Sure!" I thought, always eager to keep up with the latest technology and find an excuse to fit some exercise into my day.

So, as he got to grips with the camera, he asked me to do a few exercises while he was recording. He then reviewed the footage and got me to repeat the exercises until he had the hang of things.

Now, I didn't do that much, time-wise. In fact I didn't even finish whole sets of things. I just did 15-20 seconds of one thing, rested a few seconds while he reviewed the shot, then went again.

In little more than 3 or 4 minutes I did some sprints, squat jumps, bear crawls and push ups. Boy did I feel winded from that 'all-out' effort!

Within minutes of finishing I felt fine. Somehow I'd managed to 'camouflage' some effective exercise as an experiment in filming...

Today my abs are sore, my bum is feeling tight and my legs feel worked.

Like I said, I did no more than 4 minutes in total yesterday, and although it felt taxing at the time, I was only goofing about. I hadn't set out to devote a lot of time to a training session.

The lesson is this; even small bursts of exercise daily will leave you feeling fitter, stronger and more energised.

I just threw a few things into those limited minutes and it worked.

Do the same. 20 seconds here, 20 seconds there.

DON'T tell me you don't have 20 seconds here and there.

If you want to use that excuse then SIMPLY ADMIT that you're not ready to get into shape!

MP3 Players- Which One to Choose

Are you a real music lover? Do you wish to own the best MP3 player out in the market? Then, you should be patient enough to conduct a good research about the same. MP3 players are being used like a cell phone these days and newer models are arriving very soon.
Certain factors are to be taken into account before you choose the one you need. The budget is the first thing as you should be checking out those MP3 players under your determined cost set up. Battery life is something which has to be given the primary consideration. It depends on the usage by you. If you are to use it for short term purpose, battery life will not be affecting you in anyways. On the other hand, if your usage is for undefined hours then you have check out this factor and consider it seriously. Always go for those devices having a longer battery life.

Acer Laptop Battery Tips

When trying to extend your battery life, you can try one of several tactics. One is to fully charge your battery before using it. Another is to use the battery all the way down until it has no more power. This will help it charge more completely. Also, if the battery has a full charge on it after an hour or two, take it off the charger. Leaving it on the charger to recycle will also wear down your batter power.

Buying laptops with smaller displays may also help improve your battery life. Keep the screen on the dimmest setting that you are still able to read. Set the Sleep Mode on the computer. For example, if you haven't used the laptop in fifteen to twenty minutes, it will turn itself off to conserve battery energy. Make sure to also notice the power left on the battery at different intervals. This will tell you when the battery is almost dead, and you need to replace it before you lose all your documents.

Extreme changes in temperature will also cause problems in batter usage. Extreme heat will cause the power in the battery too quickly. Extreme cold will give the battery problems starting up. If at all possible, keep the laptop plugged in to keep the battery power for when you don't have electrical access for charging. If the battery does become warm or even hot to the touch, it may be a problem with the circuit that helps charge the battery. Make sure to have it checked completely if you are unsure by a professional.

There are three types of batteries used in Acer laptops. These are NiCad, NiMH, and Lithium-Ion. These all have different properties and cannot be used in place of one another. Check your specifications to find out which battery you need for your specific laptop. The NiMH usually has a longer working time than the Lithium-Ion. So choose the one that will give you the best working conditions for what you need. Another thing to keep in mind is the Memory Effect. Charging and then letting the battery go completely down every week or so will keep it from having a continuous charge and not downgrade how much it will charge.

Many people think they can just buy any old battery and go to work. Batteries must be chosen carefully for each Acer laptop. Keeping them charged and working is the key to success. You do not want to lose your important work because the laptop battery goes dead at the most inopportune moment. Take care to watch the meter on the battery and keep it charged to the full potential if at all possible when in use.

Electronics Guide - How to Choose a DVD Player

Whether buying for yourself or a gift for a loved one, finding just the right DVD player isn't as easy as it seems. There are so many formats, sizes and added features for DVD players today that you might sift through hundreds of players before finding the right one at the right price. Use this quick guide to compare the types of DVD players available on the electronics market.

DVD Player Sizes

Determine what size player you will need. If you're adding a DVD player to your home entertainment system, determine where you will put it and how much space is available. Normal-sized DVD players can be rather wide so you'll want to be sure of your available space before shopping. DVD players are also very thin in height and most have a slot on the front that slides in and out for inserting the DVD. This is great if you have a wide space that is limited in height.

For odd-shaped spaces or very tight spots, there are different sizes and shapes of DVD players. These are usually available at electronics stores online so you'll have plenty of styles to choose from. The vertical DVD player, for example, sits upright similar to a vertical computer drive. It comes with a stand to hold it in a sturdy position. If you still have your old VHS collection, there are DVD/VHS combo machines that play both formats. This saves space as well. Also available are super slim DVD players and "space saver" DVD players to fit your personal needs.

Types of DVD Players

Once you determine the size you'll need, you're ready to compare name brands and features at the electronics store or website of your choice. You can often find many different brands and styles of players at one single electronics mall online. This will allow you to compare without spending hours searching through many websites.

Some of the features you'll see include progressive scan, time-slip recording, EZ editing, zoom, slow motion, HD (high definition) DVD, front audio/video input jacks, CD-R/-RW playback, MP3-CD playback, D/A converter, favorite scene selection, TV Guardian, and many others. You may not find one particular DVD player that carries every feature, so it's wise to determine which features are important to you before selecting a player. Which features will you likely use the most? Which will you probably never use?

You'll also notice there are many brand names for DVD players. Some of the well-known brands include Philips, Coby, Emerson, Toshiba, Magnavox, Sanyo, and Panasonic. Pricing for DVD players can range from around $50 to $500 depending on the features you choose.

If buying a DVD player for your child, there are also players with children's themes. The player will actually look like the child's favorite cartoon character!

To find the DVD player that's right for you, search online by brand name, features, or price to compare. Or, you can visit an online mall to compare all in one location. Besides electronics, you can also find other great items at an online mall such as computers, laptops, lingerie, pets, automotive products, telephones, jewelry, household products, toys, and more. Take your time to find the DVD player that will meet your needs. You'll enjoy years of quality entertainment!

Buy a Used IPod Mini Online - Six Reasons Why Old Tech Still Makes Sense

In late 2005 Apple introduced the iPod nano. The advent of this extremely popular MP3 player meant the end of the line for both the 4 GB and 6 GB iPod Mini. As a result, the iPod Mini is now only thought about, if it is thought about at all, as old and obsolete technology. And with a few exceptions, it is likely that you'll only be able to buy a used iPod Mini online.

I believe that there is still a place for the old iPod Mini and for a lot of reasons.. Here are my top six.

Value

Apple recently announced that they have increased storage capacity of the iPod Shuffle. The latest version of the iPod Shuffle retails for about $49 (for the 1 GB model) and about $69 (for the 2 GB for). For their money, purchasers of the new iPod Shuffle will be able to store between 1000 and 1500 songs.

Recently on eBay, I've seen the iPod Mini 4 GB model available for as little as $70. This means that for $20 more, the purchaser of the iPod Mini 4 GB model was able to get four times the storage capacity.

The only way that this doesn't work is if size is an important issue for you. The iPod Mini despite its name, is more than 3 ounces heavier, 2 1/2 inches longer, and a little less than half an inch wider than the iPod Shuffle.

Price

I have always believed that when it comes to price, selection, and security of purchase; the best place to buy used iPods is online-and more specifically on eBay. The reason for this is that you have millions of sellers available to millions of buyers. This creates the possibility that you will be able to find the exact model you want at the exact price you want to pay. Combine this with eBay's ability to record and display a purchaser's feedback and you create a situation where you can make your purchase with complete confidence.

Memory Key

At 4 or 6 GB, the used iPod Mini makes a great memory key. Not only can you use the iPod Mini to store songs, but you can also use it to store and transfer files between computers. If you are an IT professional or an entrepreneur, this means that he'll be able to use the iPod Mini for legitimate business purposes. Consequently, most jurisdictions and some companies will allow you to expense or write off the purchase against your taxes.

Great Starter for Kids and Adults

If you are new to the "digital life" or if you have young children who need to be entertained, buying a used iPod Mini online is the ideal solution. Since you can usually get one at a decent price, you diminish the risk of owning one from a cost perspective. If the purchase doesn't work out, then you really won't be out a lot of money. Whereas if you were to buy one of the newest iPods, you could be paying a lot of money for something that you may not use.

Backup for iTunes

If you were to buy a 6 GB iPod Mini online, you'll be able to store up to 1500 songs. If you already own a newer iPod and have 1500 songs on it, this means that you have about $1500 worth of music that could be lost in that rare moment of carelessness. Synchronizing those same 1500 songs to a used iPod Mini, provides a little insurance against the day when you accidentally dumped your double cappuccino on your newer iPod. As a bonus, you'll have a second MP3 player to listen to your music on.

Hack-ability

For those of you who have a technical aptitude or simply technologically adventurous, the used iPod Mini represents a great opportunity to satisfy your urge to explore. Many of the used iPod Minis you'll find online are out of warranty. This removes that one last psychological barrier to trying things that you found out about online.

For instance you can switch out the original battery replaced it with a longer life 850mAh lithium-ion battery. Or maybe you want to try flashing your used iPod Mini to run iPodLinux or Rockbox firmware; allowing you to play music without using iTunes. Or how about replacing the 4 GB and 6 GB micro drives with higher capacity 8 GB, 16 GB or even 32 GB CompactFlash cards?

A used iPod Mini is certainly older and obsolete technology, but it's technology that is still useful. Add to that the fact that it can be had at a great price, and you'll find that your purchase of an iPod Mini online to be a smart one indeed.

My Old Television

I don't have a working television. Not one which works properly and actually shows live TV. It used to pick up a signal when I lived in London, but doesn't have any means to be tuned into the signal now I live in Cornwall. It used to work on certain channels with a Freeview box, but now doesn't even pick up QVC. I'm not entirely sure whether this is down to the television itself, or whether it's down to the seaside problem of seagulls interfering with the aerial.

It's not like I'm a television purist. I'm not one of those people who doesn't want a television in her home. However, with the advent of the Iplayer and Four on Demand, I don't have a huge need for a television.

My television has a built in video player. However, I learnt several years ago not to use this function as it has the impressive ability of screwing up tapes. Besides, videos are rapidly becoming an alien and decrepit technology, and whilst I still own some, I never feel the urge to watch them.

No, the television is kept for its lazy parent option of the DVD player. If I'm having a bad day, or I have a deadline to meet, the DVD comes out, and my son is amassing quite a collection. I used to hire them for him, but by being possibly the worst person in existence at taking them back the shop, it ended up cheaper to buy the ones on special offer.

Unfortunately, even its function as a DVD player is beginning to wan. I have to adjust the scart lead every time I use it - something I've had to do for a while. But now, every time I fiddle, it takes longer to find the picture, and I'm beginning to think the socket may finally be broken

Visiting my parents today, my son stared in awe at the large LCD TV my Dad has just brought. I made the mistake of telling him how dodgy my television is, and spent the next five minutes listening to his search for the best price for a television. Having embraced the technological age far better than his daughter, he started telling me which price comparison sites offered what discounts on online shopping sites.

I glazed over. I know eventually I will have to replace the television. I know when I do, I should browse through the various online shopping options. But, at the moment, I have neither the money nor the motivation.

I am attached to my old broken television. It was donated to a squat whilst I was pregnant. When the squat was evicted, no one claimed the television, so I took it. In some way, it's part of my old life - a life I'm perhaps not quite ready to give up.

Besides, I can't wait for the day when the television licensing people come knocking. I shall invite them in, cordially show then the lack of picture, and smugly ask them to leave.

Sony Ericsson's G700 Mobile Phone

2008 is definitely Sony Ericsson's time to shine they unveil their new G series mobile phones, which currently consists of the Sony Ericsson G900 and it's budge size little brother, the Sony Ericsson G700. The G700 is currently being under appreciated due to the critical acclaim being given to the G900, resulting in the G700 being overshadowed by its sister model. The Sony Ericsson G700 is definitely worth a second look, despite a few disadvantages that I will expound on later.

Touch screens are all the rage these days, due to the success of the iPhone, and the Sony Ericsson G series jumps into the bandwagon by including touch screen capabilities into its two models. The Sony Ericsson G700 performs well in this regard, with its 2.4 inch TFT LCD touch screen with 262k colors. Overall, it can display videos or images in 320 x 240 pixels. As a bit of comparison, that means a G700's display has half the resolution of a 14-inch colored TV, but can have 3 times more color.

The unit itself is lightweight enough, measuring 4.2 inches in length and 1.9 inches in Width, with a half an inch thickness. I can easily fit this into my pants' pocket or your shirt pocket, if it has one. Although it can be a little bit heavy for its size, probably as a result of all the nifty features packed in.

The Sony Ericsson G700 is a true smartphone with Symbian support, allowing the installation of third party features and softwares, which is perfectly complemented by its large storage capacity (160 MB) and the ability to use Sony's Memory Stick Micro for up to 8GB of storage space. Perfect for all those videos and MP3s you have lying around. Considering the G700's 128MB ram and 208 mhz arm9 processor, there is a possibility that you can play ports of old PC games in your phone.

In terms of actual multimedia capabilities, the G700 does not disappoint. It has all the prerequisites in a modern, multimedia smartphone. An Mp3 player that supports all the popular audio standards, an FM radio with RDS, a Video and Camcorder that supports Mpeg4, 3gp, real media and WMV files, and a Digital Camera with 3.2 megapixels and a 3X digital zoom.

The battery is also very good, using a lithium polymer 950 mAh, the Sony Ericsson G700 can have a talktime of 12 hours and 380(!) hours of standby time. That means if you didn't use it for talking, you won't have to recharge the battery for almost 2 weeks. Very few phone reviews mention this part, but that can save you a small amount in electricity bills.

Lastly, its Network capabilities run all the standards except for WiFi (the G900 has wifi), which is a shame because WiFi is starting to catch on now. That means you can get GSM, GPRS, and UMTS signals but if a network server uses Wifi, you won't be able to use it to access the internet

All in all, the Sony Ericsson G700 is a capable little smartphone that is worth its price. Its only slight disadvantage is not really that big of a deal and can be easily circumvented by going for its higher end sister, the G900.

Digital Converter Coupon

Did you know that you can get a digital converter coupon to be used to convert your analog TV to digital? The government has approved funding to give out up to $80 or two $40 coupons per household to be used towards a brand new digital converter to be used for your current analog television. If you haven't heard yet, on February 19th, 2009 all broadcasting stations will have to switch over to 100% digital broadcasting. This means that if you are currently receiving a signal in analog on your TV, usually by bunny ear antennas, you will need to get a digital converter to continue receiving your signal.

It is required by all stations to shut off the analog signal at midnight on February 17th, 2009 in which there are good reasons for this. Going to 100% digital creates better transmissions to your television and it also gives broadcasting stations more airwaves to send emergency signals to. One benefit of converting your analog television to digital or a DTV actually enables you to get a better picture quality than through regular analog signals.

You don't have to wait until February 17th, 2009 to make the conversion as you can get your digital converter box with the coupon supplied by the government and make the switch which will enable you to start receiving digital channels instantly. Most of the digital converter boxes will cost around on average $50 for a good model, but I have seen them as low as $25. You can use your coupon towards any model you wish.

Why Buy an ASUS EEE For Your Holidays?

You have the toothpaste, the cereal bars, suntan lotion and so the list goes on. The final thing seems to be the digital camera and the portable computer. Why the portable the argument goes? Very simple really the screen on the camera is too small to get a good look at the pictures to make sure they will look OK.

Do you really want the hassle? Do you really want to be looking after it all the time? You see the problem is that the value of a computer is not the price you paid for it. It is not even the cost of the software you loaded onto it. It is the price of replacing the data you put into it. Some pictures are irreplaceable.

Some photos that you have kept on your hard drive to remember people or places long gone cannot be brought back. I always tell people taking a portable computer with them on their travels to make two backups of the data.

The first backup is to take with them to restore something that was accidentally deleted. The second backup is to be kept at home so that the data can be recovered again.

The weight, the replacement time and effort and everything else will say don't take your portable computer with you. Until now there was not really another option. But now you have the ASUS EEE.

It will allow you to look at the pictures you have taken. To clean off the hair or grease that has clouded the lens before it ruins all the holiday snaps. It will allow you to have a copy of the pictures you have taken in case your camera and memory cards are stolen.

The ASUS EEE is small (the maximum screen size is 8.9 inches) and light (less than 2 lbs). The ASUS is not so easily damaged as a conventional notebook as it has a solid-state hard drive. The drive may be small but it is harder to break then the spinning disks of a standard notebook drive.

The ASUS EEE comes with a choice of operating systems either Linux or Windows XP You can have either a Microsoft Works suite or the OpenOffice suite. Either will allow you to write using the word process, calculate spreadsheets and perform database transactions. The OpenOffice suite does have the advantage of allowing you to produce presentations and they can be saved either in OpenOffice format or in PowerPoint (pre-2007) format. I cannot really imagine someone preparing a major presentation on the small screen of the ASUS EEE.

Take on your holiday the ASUS EEE and a good supply of high capacity memory cards and there you have a recipe for an easier and more enjoyable holiday. We do not need to fight our way through airports with a heavy computer. The ASUS EEE is small enough and light enough to use on the airplane while you are flying, but do remember to switch off the WiFi as it may well interfere with the airplane's systems.

The ASUS will allow you to surf the web and to use Skype to make international phone and computer to computer calls. You should also remember you are there on holiday and you do not need to be working all the time. You can always make the excuse that there is not enough disk space on the hard drive to download "War and Peace". So look out for the ASUS EEE and get to realize how much easier it can make your holiday. Less stress and more relaxation, isn't that what every one of us needs.

Internet Marketing Tips - Video Killed the Article Marketers

Okay, not really. Article marketing is more than alive and well. But let me tell you something, video is slowly becoming the king of online marketing. You won't find one top marketing name who isn't using video in some way to promote his products. And as technology gets better and better, the number of people using video is going to increase dramatically, just like the number of people now on broadband as compared to years ago. In this article, I'm going to explain why video has become so big, why you should use it and some tips to get really good at it.

Why it's become big is simple. The technology is here and people love to watch things. If you think I'm kidding, just head on over to Alexa and take a look at what the number two site is on the Internet. That's right, it's YouTube. The only site bigger is Google, who happens to own YouTube. I wonder why? Maybe Google knows something that we don't. Point is, video is huge. You can go to YouTube and look up just about anything at all and you'll find it. I have been amazed at some of the stuff I've found there.

Okay, why should you use it? Well, referring back to number one, the bigness of video, you'd be a fool not to. You're going to probably get just as many people watching your videos as reading your articles, if not more. Yes, there is a large segment of the population that prefers to read. However, there are a number of people who HATE reading but love watching things. By NOT using video in your promotions, you are leaving out that segment of the population. It's really that simple.

As for tips, if you're on a shoestring budget, you can do this cheaply. Download Open Office, which is free, and use the slide creation software (similar to Powerpoint) to create a slideshow. Then, download Camstudio, which is also free, to create your video. If you can swing the cost, get yourself a camcorder and spring for Camtasia, which is the black tie of video creation software programs. It's not that expensive and it can do some amazing things.

In my signature is a review of a product that will teach you some great video creation techniques.

Video is here to stay...Use it!

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

How to Find Out What is the Best LCD TV

If you are thinking of having a home theater, then it is a great idea to have an LCD TV. An LCD TV has a wide screen which makes you feel that you are part of the movie that you are watching. Of course, if you are decided to buy an LCD TV you would certainly want the best one that you can get. Having a home theater is one of the best things life can offer especially if you are fond of movie marathons. Here are some tips in choosing the best LCD TV:

1. Do not buy used LCD TVs. You never know what could be wrong with that used LCD TV. Yes, you had a great deal with it. You thought it was a great buy. But it can go wrong along the way and instead of being able to spend, you will have to buy another TV. After all, you can find good price for a brand new LCD TV and it is better since you will assured that it is going to work out the way you expect it to.

2. Know the features of the LCD TV. Quality must not be sacrificed for quantity. Normally when we shop, we usually look at the price first. However, it is also important to pay attention to the features. Make sure that the price that you are going to pay for the LCD TV will be worth your money.

3. Canvass prices. Compare prices in different stores. It is also important to do this if you want to be able to get the best LCD TV. Different stores may have different prices. So do some survey on other stores first because the LCD TV that you want to buy might be priced cheaper at another store. In this way, you will be able to save more money.
Keep these three things in mind when buying an LCD TV and you will surely not regret it.

Zune's Wireless Functionality Pros and Cons

I usually say that, in terms of features, there's nothing an iPod can do that a Zune can't do, but that the opposite isn't true. And the biggest feature that the Zune has and the iPod lacks is its wireless functionality.

Wireless Sync

Wireless is the new way to go, and frankly, it's a very good thing when you're able to sync your Zune to your computer's library without having to plug it into a USB cable. Even better, you don't even have to remember. If your wireless sync option is turned on, your Zune automatically syncs as soon as it gets "within range" of the wireless network it's configured for (said range is about 100 feet indoors, and up to 200 feet outdoors).

The wireless sync option on your Zune automatically syncs everything, including videos, songs, playlists, pictures, and podcasts, exactly the way it would do if you chose to sync via a USB cable. And as a bonus, as long as your Zune is docked or plugged in, wireless sync is continuous, which means that whatever you add to your library is automatically synced to your Zune.

Zune to Zune Sharing

Another neat wireless feature is Zune-to-Zune sharing. It allows you to share your favorite media (music, audio podcasts, pictures, and playlists) by beaming to your friends wirelessly when within range. If your wireless feature is turned on, no matter where you are, you can check to see which other Zune owners are around, so you can exchange media. You can also setup your Zune so that it shows your friends exactly what you're listening to now.

Zune-to-Zune sharing does has some limitations. You can play only a song beamed to you up to three times, and that particular song cannot be beamed to you again after you've received it once. And beaming only between Zune players using version 2 of the Zune software.

Drawbacks to Using The Wireless Function

The main drawback to using the Zune's wireless functionality is that it eats up battery life. Fortunately, some features are built into the Zune to help prolong battery life. For example, if you sync manually from your Zune (when it's not docked or plugged in), it disconnects from the wireless network immediately after syncing to save battery power. Also, if you plug your Zune into your computer during wireless sync, your Zune drops the wireless connection and syncing stops.

In general, if you can keep the wireless function off during normal use, and only turn it on when you are going to make or receive a transfer, your Zune's battery will thank you.

How to Decide Which RC Car to Buy

When it comes to deciding which RC car you're going to spend your hard earned money on it's a tough call, this is a short guide to first time buyers, who I'm sure are overwhelmed by not only the choice but also the types of RC cars available.

In a nut shell there are two basic categories:

Off-Road
This is generally considered to be the most popular, off road have several different sub classes like Monster Trucks, Rally Cars, Bashers and Truggies, with the latter being a kind of on/off-road.

On-Road
This is my personal area of expertise, these are pure bred race machines built to eat tarmac, but it has to be good tarmac, even slightly ages parking lots will hurt these baby, the have the setup options that you'd expect to see on Nascar or F1 car, everything from camber to dampening can be adjusted.

There are also two main sub categories:

Electric
This is the starting point for most people, I would suggest that you give this a try before you dive into anything that has a internal combustion engine. They are easy to maintain, relatively cheap, don't break half as much and are much, much cleaner. What these lack in power they make up for in precision, clip ever apex like a pro.

Nitro (a.k.a. Gas or Petrol RC)
The grand daddy of RC racing, these babies have incredible power, the Nitro engines also take a little getting used, unlike electric racers there is a slight delay in the throttle and breaking that you need to get used to, but if noise, smoke and power is your thing look no further. Nitro cars tend to not survive crashed as well as electrics due to the weight and speed at which the crash.

The basic rule of thumb is to stick to Electric until you are ready to race the Nitros; they are insanely fast and a lot can go wrong, run out of batteries for example and the throttle might stick open. While on an electric the car won't have the change to run away, with internal combustion it's a different story...

So you've decided which main class you want, now you need to decide what the car will be used for, there is a huge difference between the weekend warrior who tears up his local parking lot and anyone who wants to take racing seriously.

A few tips on picking a good starter car:

  • 2nd hand RC equipment has no resale value, which is good for you, look in forums and auction sites and you will save about 75% of the original cost, not to mention that most owners have several hop-ups and extra which they normally throw into the deal.
  • you need three things to get into RC, A Kit, The electronics for the kit (Speed controller, Receiver, Sero's, battery packs) and a Remote
  • Building the car yourself is easy and can be done in about 8 hours, but for the birthday boy it's best to get a RTR (Ready to race) as these most often come with all of the above, check the box before you buy it they will tell you what extras you need. A TT01 generally comes with everything you need apart from the remote, it's worth spending a bit more on the remote as this is something you will use over and over again.
  • Make sure that you will be able to find spares and hop-ups for the kit. (Important)
  • The best place to buy is the internet, this is true without a doubt, you get the best variety and prices from online stores.
  • Stay away from Nitro (Gas) powered RC cars until you can drive an electric one, electric RC cars are easy and cheap to maintain and give a lot less problems overall.

Which car to buy?
Personally I'd recommend a TT01 from Tamiya, they have amazing support world wide, while the car doesn't have the finesse of a carbon fibre racing beast it can still compete, winning RC events is about consistency, not tire warmers (yes you get RC tire warmers, blew me away the first time, but I still ended up beating most of the "Tire-Warming-Pro's"

The next step up from there is a Tamiya TA05, this is a belt driven RC car, while the TT01 is a shaft driven, there are some differences, but I'll leave that for a different article. The TA05 can also take any motor, so you can race in all three classes (Stock, Super Stock and Mod)

Using one of the above cars is cost effective and a good way to see if RC Racing is something you might like to take to the next level. Once you have selected your car it`s time to get involved, the best way is to join a local racing club...

Please stop by my website and browse my growing collection of RC articles, everything, including advice is free ;)

Gregory Alexander was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He spent most of his younger days travelling the world, but eventually settled back home. He first got interested in Remote Control several years ago, since then it has grown into an obsession, now a successful RC Racer and Drifter he shares his knowledge with the world. Cheap Big Screen TVs - Want One?

If you want to buy a cheap big screen TV, then now is the best time to do it! It is too hot outside in the summer, so why not just relax and watch some TV on a nice big screen? If you shop online then you don't even have to go out in the heat to buy it, since it will be delivered right to your house.

No matter if you buy online or at a store, you have first have to decide what type of TV you will buy. If you don't know already, there are two types of TVs- flat panel screens and rear projection TVs. Here is a brief overview to explain the differences. Both are great, and the main difference is price and size.

Flat panel TVs are exactly what they sound like...FLAT TVs. These are the thin models that you can hang on your wall. They are popular because of their small size. They come in either plasma or LCD form, and both have great picture quality.

The other kind is rear-projection TVs. These are bigger (thicker), so you can't hang them on a wall. You need to have more space for one of these, but there are other benefits. They come in bigger sizes (even over 70 inch screens) and the picture quality is just as good as flat panels. The best benefit though is the price. Rear projection TVs are usually much cheaper, even though the quality is just the same. They are a great deal!

Both types of TVs are great, so you can decide which kind is right for you. You can take a look at the most popular, cheap big screen TVs and get the one that meets your budget.

New Classical Cell Phone Nokia 6120

Nokia Telecommunications introduced new cell phone Nokia 6120. The 16 million color display screen offers excellent resolution but such high quality reduces the text size on the screen, making it difficult to read for some users. This isn't too much trouble, however, because the 6120 features a text to speech application that will read your texts and emails aloud. The traditional Nokia keypad is stylish and simple to use, with a simple to navigate menu and easy access to all the phone's features.

The Nokia 6120 is one of the most affordable phones available with so many features, as well as a great design. Not only is the 6120 a 3G handset that provides high speed downloads and a quite enjoyable web surfing experience, this handset also features the latest productivity tools, including Quick Office and Adobe Reader for document viewing, as well as support for other applications.

The only sub-par feature of the Nokia 6120 is the 2 megapixel camera, but the photo and video quality is still acceptable for multi-media messaging, photo caller ID, or for wallpapers. The camera features an LED flash that works well for low-lighting conditions, but not in the dark, and does not provide an auto focus feature. The Nokia 6120 Classic does support video calling and includes several fun camera features, like a panorama mode.

Nokia 6120's music player, which supports all major file formats, includes an FM radio and provides a high quality listening experience. The supplied Nokia stereo headphones sound terrific or you can enjoy your tunes wirelessly via Bluetooth headphones. The headphone jack can easily be adapted to a standard 3mm jack to use with other headsets. The internal memory of the Nokia 6120 is rather insufficient for such a great music player, at only 35 MB, but the expandable micro SD slot will allow unlimited storage capabilities. Some users may find the card slot rather cumbersome to open without fingernails, but it is conveniently located on the bottom of the handset.

The Nokia 6120 is a gorgeous, classically designed mobile phone with all the latest 3G features for a very practical price. The call quality is exceptionally clear and the speaker has been relocated to the side of the handset, rather than the back where it was traditionally placed, so speakerphone calls have well above average clarity. The only major drawback found with this stylish mobile is the fact that the handset becomes unusually warm after usage, so a headset is recommended. Overall, the Nokia 6120 Classic is an outstanding phone that offers everything mobile users want in their handset for a price everyone can afford.

Flash or Hard Drive mp3 Players

There are two main types of mp3 player that you can buy in the shops today. Flash or hard disk drive based. Flash based mp3 players are smaller in dimension compared to hard disk mp3 players. They use a flash memory chip so there is no moving parts, hence your music will never skip or jump.

Hard disk mp3 players are larger in size but can hold far more data than flash mp3 players. This usually makes them slightly more popular as having a larger selection of music appeals more to the younger generation. A popular choice of a flash mp3 player is the Apple iPod Nano. With its fashionable design and ease of use, it is the leading flash based mp3 player. A popular hard disk based mp3 player would be the Apple iPod Video 60GB. Videos, pictures, mp3s and videos are all features of this mp3 player. It can hold up to 60GB of media which is equivalent to 15,000 songs, full-colour album art and up to 25,000 photos, the new iPod makes the most of your music and more.

Another device that is emerging which is an alternative mp3 player is the hand held mobile phone. Sony Ericsson released the K800i which comes with built in 125MB flash memory chip and an optional 512MB chip space. So you could kill two birds with one stone and buy a mobile phone with mp3 player capabilities. This is also more convenient and money saving. Instead of carrying around two devices, you could simply use one single device. Although mobile phones are good mp3 players, the new Sony Ericsson K800i has a built in radio which would allow you to listen to music free and not need to download media from the iTunes website. So before buying a new mobile phone or mp3 player, remember you could save yourself a packet and get a multimedia cell phone at half the prize of both items put together.

New iPhone 3G External Battery

As any owner of an iPhone will know, the idea of being able to surf the net any time anywhere straight from your iPhone at no extra charge is a luxury that only Apple could have brought about so well. It is a massive step into the future of mobile internet. What is no so great is the fact that surfing the net, or having the Wi-Fi on really eats up the battery life.

The new iPhone 3G external battery can be simply clipped into the charging port, and will easily give a few extra hours of battery life to your iPhone. It looks awesome, as it must to be worthy of being an accessory for any Apple product, and the flashing blue lights on the battery gives it a 'wow' factor, making all you're your friends say, "ooh, what does that do?"

The only real downside to this product is just the fact that it's there! You'll be surfing the internet as usual on your iPhone and you'll have to hold up the extra weight of a battery along with it, not to mention having to be careful not to snap it off and break both the battery and the iPhone socket simultaneously.

All in all though, this is a great product, and a wonderful addition to any iPhone 3G. This external battery will give you many more hours surfing the net from your sofa or anywhere else, for that matter. At a very reasonable price for what it gives, it's definitely worth a buy.

Improve the Performance of Your Sound System

1 Wire you still using those?

One of the best ways to improve your sound is to ditch those nasty cables supplied in the box and replace them with higher quality wires from a specialist manufacturer. You needn't spend a fortune to achieve some startling results. The same applies to loudspeaker cables. Using lengths of old doorbell wire will strangle your sound no matter how good your kit may be. Remember a system is only as good as its weakest link. Also, to avoid nasty hums and buzzes, keep interconnect cables well away from mains cables and don't tidy your excess speaker cable into neat coils. Finally, keep cable runs as short as possible and always use the same length of cable for each speaker. Signals take time to travel down a cable and even a delay of a fraction of a second can make an audible difference.

2 Two are better than one

If your speakers are designed to be bi-wired, go for it! It's how the engineers who built the product envisaged it being used, so you're more likely to get the sound they were aiming for. Bi-wirable speakers have a split crossover that keeps high and low frequencies apart. The idea is that rather than squeezing the whole frequency range down one wire, two separate signal paths exist all the way back to the amplifier for high and low frequencies. In theory this should give a purer signal as there is less potential for frequencies extremes to imprint modulation distortion on the rest of the frequency range.

3 Try different positions

Considering the remarkable difference in sound quality that can be achieved purely by positioning your speakers correctly, it's amazing how many people fail to follow a few basic rules. It's essential cabinets are placed equally in distance from your favoured listening position, and are the same distance apart, thereby creating a triangle. Meanwhile, tweeters should sit at the same height as your ears. Some speakers work better placed nearer the rear wall, while toeing-in can often drastically improve the stereo imaging and soundstage. Experiment until you get a performance that you are happy with.

4 Stands can deliver

Speakers should always be mounted on a solid, stable base. The best possible solution is a speaker stand. This way the speaker expends all its energy moving the drive units, i.e. making music, rather than trying to move the cabinet. Where possible, stands should be filled with sand or lead shot and speakers should be fixed to the top using Blu-Tack. If you own floorstanding speakers, spikes should always be used as, again, this will dramatically increase a cabinet's stability. If you have a wooden floor and are worried about it being damaged by the spikes, try placing five pence pieces under each one.

5 Support your team

It's just as important to keep your electronics on a solid, stable foundation. This is particularly true of source components, such as compact disc players or turntables. Such racks help to isolate the electronics, removing unwanted vibrations. These can, for example, cause the laser of a CD player to misread the data stored on any disc, meaning the internal error correction system will guess which bits are missing and fill in the blanks. Naturally, this has an effect on the sound quality. Moreover, equipment racks mean that all your components are level, which can help avoid skipping, thereby bringing out the very best performance.

6 Live in isolation

If you want even more isolation from vibrations a dedicated isolation platform might be the answer. These offer the very best protection from unwanted vibrations. Such designs often take the form of inflated 'bladders', which can be adjusted to increase or reduce the stiffness of the suspension, or proprietary damping feet. Alternatively, if you don't fancy forking out too much of your hard earned cash, try placing squash balls (cut in half) underneath your system instead. This works in a similar manner.

7 Go for a good run

All hi-fi and home cinema kit benefits from a really good run-in. In fact, some speaker manufacturers reckon it can take several months of use for a new piece of equipment to really shine. You can speed this process up facing the speakers together and running them out of phase (reverse the positive and negative cables) for a few days. It's also a good idea to keep your system on all the time - not great for the environment but your system will sound great!

8 Keep it clean

Investing in a mains filter - a device that essentially 'cleans' your electricity - can bring dramatic improvements in sound quality. The majority of appliances that draw power corrupt the mains electricity supply. So for example your computer, fridge freezer, or even television, can have a negative effect on your audio equipment. The result is a heavily distorted waveform which is not good for audio performance. A mains filter is the perfect remedy.

9 Scrub your connections

While we're on the subject of keeping things clean, it also helps if every now and then you give your interconnect sockets a good scrub. Use isopropyl alcohol, which is available from chemists, to make sure you have perfectly clean connections. Some people even go so far as to polish the pins on their plugs! If you don't use banana plugs on your speaker cable and instead use bare wire, it's worth cutting off the exposed wire every six months, and stripping back a fresh section. This is because metal oxidizes in air, degrading the connection.

10 Get a good service

Just as the connections on the outside need to be cleaned, so those on the inside pick up dust and the performance will degrade as a result. Furthermore, moving parts such as CD/DVD transports can wear out, lasers get dirty and boards can short circuit. The simplest way to extend the life of your equipment and ensure that it continues to perform at its best is to get it serviced once a year. You could do this yourself but, unless you know what you're doing, you could do more harm than good.

DVD Software Explained and Clarified

The real problem in identifying what DVD software would best suit your needs actually comes from the lack of a standard definition of each type. In addition to that the technology of dealing with DVDs has stabilised through development so that just burning a DVD would hardly be described as rocket science anymore!

This has resulted in many of the DVD software brands branching out into other functions in an effort to attract customers through added features and benefits. This merging of the various things you may want to do with a DVD has resulted in it becoming rather unclear as to which software you should get to suit your particular needs.

DVD Copying Software.

This is DVD software that has, as its main purpose, the simple action of copying a DVD onto another DVD. It will generally do this by first making a copy on to the hard drive of your computer then using that copy to burn to a new blank DVD. Generally this will be an automated process.

A variation of this is DVD Ripping where the software deconstructs the original DVDs contents into its various files and folders while it is being copied to the computer hard drive. This allows some degree of manipulation prior to burning a new DVD. Pure DVD Copying software is very often combined with the ability to make basic edits and changes to parts of the DVD and remove unwanted features like subtitles or extra content.

DVD Conversion Software.

The primary function here is to take the contents of an existing DVD and convert them into another format. For example a home made video DVD being converted to a more compressed video format for uploading on to YouTube or similar or for viewing on a computer.

A good example of a combination of DVD Copying Software and DVD Conversion Software would be a product called DVD Fab. This is software that allows DVD copying in many forms with a high degree of control over the final output combined with the ability to convert the contents of the DVD to other formats.

DVD Burning Software.

The main purpose of DVD burning software is to take data from a computer and transfer it on to a DVD disc. This occurs in two ways depending on what is being burned.

In the case of data such as files, folders or documents this is a pretty straightforward process of copying that data and placing it on the DVD in such a way that other programs can read what is there.

In the case of video DVDs it is a slightly more complicated procedure. There are certain protocols that determine how a video DVD must be written on to a disc. DVD burning software has the ability to understand and create those protocols as it is burning. The DVD Burning ROM of NERO 9 would be an example of this. This does, however, lead to another type of DVD software.

DVD Authoring Software.

DVD authoring is the action of creating the DVD structure (including menus, buttons, subtitles and reference to special features) that you would find on a video DVD. The video on a DVD is actually a type of video file called MPEG2. If you just burned the MPEG2 on to a disc a DVD player would not be able to recognise or play that file. The file has to be "wrapped" in a certain type of structure for the DVD player to be able to play it.

Also, the disc needs to have menus created so that both you and the player can navigate around the disc and play the parts you want. The creation of all of this is the job of DVD authoring software. Corel DVD Movie Factory would be an example of DVD authoring software and all such software must also have the ability to burn the DVD as well as create the structure.

DVD Editing Software.

Many people search in the internet for this and probably get a little frustrated as to why they can not get a definitive result. The reason for that is that the term itself is a bit of a misnomer. It is unclear whether the person wishes to edit the structure of the DVD (menus, movie titles etc.) or whether they are seeking to edit the actual video.

In reality if you want to re-edit or manipulate the menus or features that are on a DVD and then burn to a new DVD that action would be covered by either a DVD copying or conversion software as mentioned above.

If what you want is to re-edit the actual video itself on a DVD then DVD software is not really designed to do that. This activity has now crossed over into the field of video editing software. Having said that there still is a range of DVD software suites that do include this function as an added feature. Nero 9 and Roxio Creator 2009 have this ability.

DVD Merging or Combining Software.

This one really suffers from the loose definitions of all of these functions. Most DVD copying software or conversion software offers the ability to take a couple of DVDs or more and have you re-combine the contents on to a newly created DVD. So you could say they merge or combine DVDs.

However there is another very specific action which is the merging of two, three or even four DVDs into one DVD but at the same time retaining the menus of the original DVDs. The most common need for this is the case of DVD camcorders that record to 8cm or "mini" DVDs.

People who re-use their 8cm RW DVDs or who wish to archive their recordings may want to transfer the contents of a few of those DVDs on to one full sized DVD and save some space. Simply copying the contents of the DVDs over on to one full DVD would result in the loss of the menus of the original DVDs. That would mean you would have hundreds of individual MPEG2 files on a disc and no way of knowing which one is which. Simply a sea of MPEG2 icons in a folder!

There is only one software I know of that can handle that problem and is the only one I know of that could be described as DVD Merging software. It's name is DVDRemake and it can merge or combine two, three or even four DVDs on to one without losing the original menus. Very handy for the DVD camcorder enthusiast.

Finally! DVD Data Recovery and DVD Repair Software.

As much as the manufacturers of DVDs, DVD burning software and DVD burners would have you believe that DVD is somehow perfect because it is digital that is very far from the truth. DVDs can get burned with errors, get scratched, or have errors "built in" because of glitches in the software being used or even the computer being used.

For such occurrences we have this category of DVD software. Generally speaking we are now getting down to some very specialised software that can correct existing errors in DVDs. Of course when you get these errors you will get nonsensical and meaningless messages such as "no disc" (even though you can see one!), "disc error" (well duh!), "invalid DVD navigation structure" (my personal favorite!) and a whole range of others. Without going into the myriad of available specialist software for this it is interesting to note that Nero 9 now has a module within it to handle a great number of these problems called RescueAgent.

So, that got a whole lot more complicated than I intended but I hope at least it will provide you with a general guide to the various functions of DVD software.

Want A Unique Tech Gift For Teens The Whole Family Can Enjoy? Try Radio Controlled Transporation

If you're thinking it's pretty hard to chose a gift for a teen, you're right. Teens are no longer little kids who become giddy over this years' hot Elmo toy. Many gift givers worry that they don't know what is "in" for teens or feel they don't want to give teens more "plugged in" products that will enable the teen to tone out to the rest of the family. Why buy them something that will distance them from you and encourage them to hibernate inside? You don't have to. Hobby, radio controlled transportation items that travel and race by air, water and land are actually quite popular with teens and fun for families. These electronic hobby items might just be your answer. They are "high tech," so they'll meet the "cool" criteria for kids, but they also provide an opportunity to enjoy being outdoors and it is also a bobby that the families can enjoy together. (Links to specific examples at the bottom of this article). You can get these items with either gas or electronic power, and many can go as fast as 65 miles per hour. All over the country, teens are gathering at parks and fields to race and enjoy these little gadgets - and they're much safer (and more fun) than racing real cars. Some of the more popular, most sought after items are:

Racing By Air: Eflite's Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial Micro Helicopter: The Blade CX2 is perhaps the most popular electric heli with a perfect 5 star rating on Amazon. The CX2s body design is awesome looking and is unlike anything else offered at the moment. It retails for about $189. See the end of this article for more info about this product.

Racing By Land: Rustler Stadium Truck RTR w/XL-5: Many feel that this is the best ready to run R/C truck that is out today. 1Click DVD Copy Review - Excellent DVD Copies With One Click

So many options...

Let's face it: DVD copying software packages are a dime a dozen nowadays and the choice to go with any particular one, over another that has pretty much the same feature set is really more a matter of personal preference than anything else. A quick look at the feature sets of these similar looking software packages will only serve to emphasize that they really do not differ from each other much in terms of features and capabilities.

Not so the 1Click DVD Copy, which offers you a much welcome benefit that other, more feature-packed software solutions cannot provide.

What's in a name?

1Click DVD Copy, as the name implies, is an immensely useful and simple to use dvd copying software utility that allows you to perform virtually all the common dvd copying tasks with one click of the mouse button. Now sit back for a while, and think about all the implications of that one simple statement. Imagine being able to rip movies from any dvd available on the market, with that kind of ease and elegance.

That would mean that practically anyone, regardless of experience with computers-or lack of experience as the case may be-would be able to perform this previously complicated task with no more thought than pressing a button. It truly does not get any easier than that, and the beauty of it is that this capability is not all that 1Click DVD Copy can offer.

As you may have further guessed from a dvd copying software package that makes that sort of claim, the user interface of 1Click DVD Copy is a marvel in simplicity and straightforwardness. Other software will have you fumbling with the manual before you can even open up a file, but the 1Click DVD Copy will get you up and running in seconds, even if it is your first time to get near computer.

Simple is good

This extreme simplicity and ease of use will no doubt have some of you thinking that something that easy cannot possibly do a good job, right? This the furthest from the truth that you can possibly get, for in spite of the rudimentary nature and appearance of the program, the quality of the video that you can expect is excellent across a wide range of applications and media. There is simply no way that you can mess up the process of copying from your favorite dvd with the 1Click DVD Copy.

The key to 1Click DVD Copy's utmost simplicity is that the process of choosing the proper compression settings is pretty much decided on for you by the software. Now this may give some of you a little cause for concern, particularly if you are the type of person who would much rather set each and every possible parameter according to your own preferences. But if you are like most people, whose only concern is to be able to achieve excellent quality dvd copies each and every single time without fail, then 1Click DVD Copy is the right package for you.

Admittedly there are many software packages out there that can offer a lot more features than 1Click DVD Copy. If your needs are quite basic however, then you need look no further than this simple and highly effective software solution.

Choosing LCD TVs - 7 Easy to Follow Steps

LCD Display has many tiny cells which are called pixels. It also has fluorescent back light. This produces light to a mirror and then projects it to the screen. The excellence and sharpness of the figure that you receive also depend on the pixel. In recent times, due to the hi-tech era, images are now as true as it is because of the capability of matching precise color tones.

Some of the popular models are: Samsung LN46A650, which is 46-inch, has 1080p and 120hz. Samsung LN40A650 which is 40-Inch, has 1080p and 120Hz. Samsung LN52A650 which is 52-Inch, has 1080p and 120Hz. Philips which is 37'' Widescreen. All are LCD HDTV.

Comparing shops than comparing brands is more useful if you are going to buy a flat screen TV. You should also test out sites such as Target and Best Buy for great buys. Circuit City and Wal-Mart are also good sites for it. There are tons of good deals there. Things that are for extravagance before have turned into items of consumption because of the continuous development in technology. Manufacturers are now having a regular price war which gives them a smaller profit margin.

Few years ago, people think that LCD TVs would just be feasible in tinier sizes. Now that we have known about Samsung, Westinghouse Digital, and also Sharp and LG Philips, it is now safe to say that all those past notions are not true.

If you can not still decide which LCD TV you are going to buy, here are some tips that will surely help on making your decision.

You should first consider your money. Do a budget for buying your LCD TV.

Second, choose the size of the TV you will buy. It should always fit with the size of your room. 27' is the typical panel size but it still depends on your definite needs.

Third, think of the features you are looking for in a TV. Various LCD sets appear in the company of memory card slots. Camcorders are also part of LCD sets sometimes.

Fourth, consider where you like speakers to be at. Do you want it to be on either sides of the panel or you just want it at the bottom?

Fifth, make sure viewing angles will fit to the arrangements of seating in your room.

Sixth, ask yourself, "What quality of picture do I want?" For instance, if you are fond of bigger screens compared to 30", 1366 X 768 resolution will be suggested.

Finally, be friendly to other experienced customers of a store. Ask them about the TV you desire to buy because their answers would really be a big help. The store staffs' recommendations will also be credible because they know much about this thing.

ASUS EEE 700 Or 900

I can guarantee which one you want, but the bottom line may come into it. You can save money by buying the 700 but then you will not have all the add-on extras on the 900. Look at them both and start to see the difference.

The outside of the computer is the same size. However the screen on the 700 is only a 7 inch compared to the 900 screen which is 8.9 inch. You should remember that the size of a computer screen is measured across the diagonal, and so there is an enormous difference in viewing area between the 700 and 900. As a result of the difference in viewing area, for the same program, you are looking at there is less moving around the screen to see just what you want.

The webcam is a 1.3 mega pixel standard on the 900. The 700 series has no webcam on the Surf models and a 0.3 mega pixel on the non-Surf.

The maximum size of solid state hard drive on the 700 series is 8GB but that is increased to 12GB or 20GB on the new 900. On the 900 model, they both have 1GB of RAM but the 700's have 512MB of RAM exception the top-of-the-range 8G which has the 1GB of RAM. This may not sound an enormous amount of RAM if you are used to 2GB or 4GB of RAM in your current machine but double the RAM will affect the speed that the computer responds.

We can argue that the webcam needs more RAM to be used effectively, but that is not the whole story.

ASUS have tried making a minimalist PC and have found that they cannot make it go fast enough without enlarging the hard disk. There is only one thing that really tests a computer and that is to put it into the hands of real users who have paid for the machine and let them use it. ASUS have said that they will be trying later to make use of the latest Atom processor from Intel, but until that is available the same processor is being used in both the 700 and 900 models. Try out the 700's and see if I am right that it does not have enough RAM or hard disc space.

The basic 700 model starts at $445.97 on Amazon's US web site (this is a 700 Surf 2G). It has no web cam and very little disc space at all. The top of the range 8G is priced at $599.99. These are for the Linux operating system. You can then change the operating system to Windows XP. The 900 models are the same price $549 and they have 20GB solid state drive on the Linux machine and a 12 GB on the Windows XP version. The difference in disc space covers ASUS for the cost of the licence that Microsoft charges for the Windows XP Operating system.

To my mind, to be able to use Windows XP effectively you will probably need to have more than 12GB of disc space. It would probably be better for the Windows XP machine to have the 20GB and increase the price, but you must make your mind up and buy what you are happiest with. The vast majority of people who read this article would probably say "I will go with the Windows that I know". I challenge you to go into a store and try out the Linux machine for half and hour and see what is better.

Picking Out the Perfect Headphones

Before, headphones were simple; they were nothing special to be excited about. They were ordinary all throughout. All headphones came in the same style, the same color, and they provided the solution to one purpose: for listening to sounds from a stereo or TV without the blaring noise. This was already a good thing.

Nowadays, though, headphones have changed into so much more. You can now go to a store and make your selection based on style, color (if you don't want them black), and function. Although they still do what they were first intended to do, which was to keep what you're listening to from bugging other people, a lot more can be gained from the headphones of today.

At present, if you want to buy a great pair of headphones, it's a matter of what you'll use them for. Whether it's going to serve its purpose for a certain piece of equipment; for a bunch of different ones (e.g., mp3 player, iPod, PC, laptop, cell phone, television set); or perhaps for the typical stereo, the different kinds of machines you can use your set of headphones for are numerous.

When you know what you're going to use your headphones for, you must ask yourself what your reason for using them is. To minimize noise you'd be making? Or noise others make? It's actually a factor in the type of headphones you should buy. As soon as you're almost certain about your preferences, check out the various types out there available for purchase. The following are some kinds you may want to consider:

Wireless Stereo Headphones

Wireless stereo headphones have gotten rid of the messy wiring and use clever transmitters to send signals through possible barriers like walls, ceilings, and floors, instead. So now you can listen anywhere inside or even outside of your house. The maximum distance from the unit allowable is variable depending on what brand and type you buy. Wireless stereo headphones are available in different brands. Some known brands are Sony and Bose.

Noise Canceling Headphones

Noise canceling headphones are sometimes referred to as travel headphones because they're great for use in airplanes where the sounds of flying can be irritating to the ears. This class of headphones is clearer and they drown out any extra auditory feedback from the outside, allowing you to hear what you're listening to well even using a volume level that is not set as high.

Surround Sound Headphones

If you own a home theater, you should have this type of headphones. The way in which home theaters improve sound can make average headphones give off better sound as well. Wireless stereo headphones or whatever kinds you have, become surround sound headphones. When using surround sound headphones, it is like hearing sounds from all sides of your head as though you are in a real theater.

These are just some of the many types of headphones available today. It's surprising how within a moment's time, headphones have advanced as much as they have, creating a way for all to have peace and quiet, or noise, whenever they prefer.

Bland gets the best sound from his home theatre system for music and movies with Sony headphones and Audio Technica headphones.

A Review of the Peek - The Little Gadget With Just One Purpose

The Peek is a new pocket-size gizmo that sends and receives email. At first glance the Peek looks just like the Blackberry. I'm sure it was no accident that the makers of the Peek shamelessly copied the Blackberry design. But, while the two look similar, they are very little in common. The Peek has only one purpose, and that is to send and receive email.

The Peek measures 4" x 2.7" x 0.4" and comes in dark gray, aqua or dark red. On the right is a rolling thumbwheel, that scrolls through lists and menus. Below the wheel is a Back/Cancel button and at the top is the power button. And, that's it. It is truly a device for the technologically challenged who have no use or desire to have a smartphone or other fancy devices.

In fact, the Peek isn't concerned with appealing to corporate America who already carry the newest tech gadgets. There are no plug-ins, downloads, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or anything else to make it complicated.

There are only 3 basic screens on the Peek. One screen displays the list of messages while another opens individual messages. The third screen is the preferences screen. I think even my husband, who claims the ATM machine is "too complicated," could figure this out.

The first time you turn on the Peek, you are asked for your email address and password. The Peek will automatically check for new email messages every 5-15 minutes, based on your preferences. You can be notified of new messages with a chime, vibrating buzz, and a blinking blue light in the corner. You can also check for new messages on command. You can store up to three email accounts in the Peek.

The Peek costs around $100, which may seem a little high. But, for the sake of simplicity and ease of use, it may be worth a little extra for those tired of complicated devices.

Overall, this is thumbs-up Peek review. It is a great little gadget for all of us who have no use for the blackberry, iphone or PDA. There are a few software designs that could have been designed better. The Peek has no formatting at all. That means no stationery, no spell check or even bold and italics.

The Peek truly is a simple, single-function device that makes sense.

If the Peek sounds like the device for you, visit http://peekreview.info for the more information, photos, and the best prices.

Tips on Shopping For Electronics

Shopping for electronics can be a daunting task, even for the seasoned shopper. So many brands, types, formats, etc... How can you be sure you are getting the best value for your money? What about quality? Durability?

Well, the truth is that the electronic gadget you buy today will probably be obsolete within the year. Strides are made all the time in the fields associated with electronics. Remember when cell phones came in a carry bag and weighed about 10 pounds? Look at them today and you will see what I mean.

So how do you find the best value when shopping for electronics? I have found a combination of in-store and online research works best. When you go to the store, you can get your hands on the merchandise and even see it work if they have a display set up. Like a certain store that displays working camcorders, for instance.

Once you have got some hand on experience, go home and go online for research. Go to message forums, brand sites, shopping sites or store sites. Find the specific item(s) you are looking at and there should be consumer reviews of it available. This is the best way to get the feel for how good or bad an item really is.

One good tip is to stick with the brand names you know from past experiences. If you haven't heard of a brand before, it is time to research them and see what they are all about. Even the ones you do know have pitfalls, though. Watch for brand new models or items that may be flawed or have a design problem.

Example: A couple of years ago, a certain video game console was EXTREMELY popular and sold millions of units for the holidays. Six months later, a lot of them were broken beyond repair due to a design flaw that nobody saw coming. This is a very good reason to be careful and do the homework first.

Here is a small list of items and what to look at in them:

  • Digital cameras - Watch the pixels (the more the merrier) and the type of memory unit it requires.
  • Camcorders - Look for name brands and features like a fold out screen (size is a factor here, a 4.5" is great), optical zoom, VCR type playback and a wide/tight shot selector.
  • Televisions - Important factors include screen size, resolution, type of picture (LCD, projection or plasma) and mounting (table or wall mount).
  • Phones, blackberries and PDAs - Too many to even start a feature list, but choose depending on what the user will be doing with it.
  • Computers - Look at memory, RAM, processor, hard drive size and software package included.

The most important thing I can tell you here is this:

When you purchase electronics, it is always a good idea to go ahead and get the extended service contract with it. That way, your item will be covered for as much as 3 years. Also, add the batteries and any accessories that will be required to use the item right away. Especially true if it is a gift for someone else.

Do You Want to Buy an ASUS Eee 900?

How do you get people so excited about a computer that the entire stock of 1000 is sold out within an hour of the machine being launched in Hong Kong? Also, Yahoo in Hong Kong sold out of the new machine within hours of the launch. The source for this is the IDG new service on 21st April 2008.

What are the big advantages of the new machine? The screen has been enlarged from 7"to 8.9". Let's remember that screen size is measured diagonally (a throw-back to the old TV screens). The memory is larger. The 700 series has a maximum memory of 8GB. The 900 series has a 12GB memory for the Windows XP machine and 20GB for the Linux PC. Logic would say that the XP machine needs the larger memory but to enable them to be sold at the same price the Windows XP machine had to have a smaller hard drive. The other major advance is the web cam is now 1.3 Mega pixels instead of 0.3 Mega pixels. The final advantage is a larger and more responsive touchpad instead of a mouse.

Both of the new machines have 1GB of RAM but only the 8GB 700 PC has 1GB the other models have 512MB.

In Hong Kong so many people rush for the latest technology and the latest offering, but will this sales rate be sustainable elsewhere? I think the answer is yes, especially for anyone who is short of space, either while traveling or at home. This will not be suitable for the first machine for someone but will be a backup and something to be used while traveling or for a second machine.

I can see a rush of people who will buy an Eee to take on holiday with them. They will use the larger screen of the Asus to look at their holiday photos and see what the quality of the photos is like. They can even send friends; family and work colleagues e-mail postcards of their holiday and know they will get there quickly rather than be delayed by snail mail. It is embarrassing to get back to work from a holiday and the card arrives back after you do.

I can see a large number of wives having to wrestle their husbands away from their work on the ASUS Eee when they are supposed to be on holiday. I can also see a number of husbands having to get their wives away from long chats to their girlfriends when they should be on holiday. Sometimes we can't leave home even for a little while.

Can this little marvel make a place in your home? Yes is can, especially for many people who need an extra machine for a limited amount of time during each week. I cannot imagine someone with large hands or fingers being able to type on the ASUS Eee keyboard for a very long period. Also people who have limited space to keep even a portable PC available all the time can consider this little machine.

The big advantage with it is that it is so quick to start up. This may be helped by having so little RAM on board as every time a computer starts up the RAM is checked by the operating system to be working properly. A 5 minute job on the ASUS will only take 5 minutes and not 5 minutes to start the machine followed by 5 minutes work and then 5 minutes to shut the machine down again.

The 3 USB ports on the ASUS Eee allow many different hardware configurations for the little machine. Some of us will choose to use a mouse or trackball as opposed to the touchpad, others may choose an external keyboard but with the size of the screen that may need to have an external monitor to use a keyboard. All of these are possible as we have a fully functional pc. We can also add in a printer either using the wireless LAN or one of the USB ports.

The more you look at this machine the more it looks like a machine for everyone at any time.

Video iPod by Apple is Sexy and Sleek

The Apple video iPod is a thin, sleek package that now combines three of the average American's favorite things: movies, music, and television. Not just satisfied with dominating the MP3 player market, the Apple iPod got a video upgrade and even higher storage capacity. When the first generation of iPods was produced, people were wowed by it even with the simple LCD display. There was nothing else like it as the time, and with its feature-filled video iPod, Apple is still a winner. Although other companies are still trying to dethrone Apple from the top of the MP3 player heap, it will be difficult to top them. Microsoft has recently introduced the Zune, its Apple iPod killer with video, photo, and music capabilities. However, the Microsoft Zune doesn't exactly seem to have any features that give it a real edge over Apple's video iPod. If it has one unique feature going for it, it is the fact that the Zune allows the sharing of music files directly between Zune users. The Zune also accepts several different formats for music files, which makes things easier if you get your music from different sources.

It certainly beats being stuck with files that can only be played on one MP3 player. For example, Apple's AAC format music files will only work on your computer or an iPod. That minor quibble aside, the latest video iPods by Apple are thin and light (weighing only 5.5 ounces) with a good quality QVGA screen for your video-viewing pleasure.

You've come a Long Way, iPod

No other MP3 player comes close to it in terms of style, although there are MP3 players with extra features like the Zune. The video iPod comes in a 30GB model and an 80GB model. The 30GB model can hold up to 40 hours of video, while the 80GB can hold a whopping 100 hours of video. In terms of songs, that means you can load up to 7500 songs on a 30GB video iPod or 20,000 on your 80GB model. A 30GB video iPod retails for only $249.00 at Apple's online store, and the 80GB version is only $349.00 (plus you can get free engraving if you buy it diectly fromthe store). Either device would be a great deal for music lovers, but for only a hundred dollars extra you get almost triple the capacity of the basic model. You should consider saving up for that 80GB model if you're a fan of the Apple video iPod.

Flat Screen TV Stands

With the advent of flat screen television, the whole concept of how an entertainment center looks has changed. Earlier, TV Stands were bulky with a big space left in the centre for placing the television set. Such entertainment centers were also required to have ample width in order to accommodate the television. However, now-a-days it is possible to build slim TV stands due to availability of flat screen TVs. Flat screen TV stands are all the rage now as more and more consumers are choosing them over traditional models. The reason for their popularity is that they are both space saving and also available in various elegant designs.

Another reason for choosing them is that an average flat screen TV is 32 inches. This is why, traditional TV stands cannot accommodate them. Therefore, when you choose a one, you by default need to select a flat screen TV stand. You can also choose to wall mount but you will still need apparatus to accommodate your other entertainment media equipment related to it. Therefore, it is advisable that you select a stand that has ample storage options.

When buying flat screen TV stands you must plan to get one that is at least two to three times larger than your current need of storage. The reason for buying a bigger stand is not extravagance, rather foresight. The way entertainment media and technology is advancing, it is fair to assume that within the next two years you will accumulate a large amount of media. If you buy a flat screen TV stand only according to your current requirement, you may feel the need of upgrading it soon. This will prove to be an unnecessary cost and also it may be difficult to match a new one with your furniture and dcor later. However, if you feel buying a bigger than necessary TV Stand is not possible due to either lack of space or lack of funds, you can decide on a flat TV screen stand appropriate for your need, and then develop a habit of going through your accumulated media every few months and discarding obsolete stuff.

MP3 Player Buying Guide

With so many MP3 Players available on the market, it is quite a challenge on deciding which one is right for you. Apple's iPod models are currently the most popular MP3 players today, though there are many other options that are giving the iPod fierce competition.

Below you will find a few things that our product specialists recommend our customers to consider before purchasing an MP3 Player.

Memory Capacity: It's important that you think about how many songs you plan to have on your MP3 player before making a purchasing decision. If you want to have your whole music collection with you everywhere you go, then it makes sense for you to get an MP3 Player with more than 20 gigabytes of storage space. On the other hand if you only plan to have your favorites on the player, than you should be fine with less than 10 gigabytes.

On average, you should be able to fit about 250 songs in the MP3 format for every gigabyte. So for a 10 gigabyte MP3 Player, you will be able to store about 2500 songs. This figure is just an average; actual results may be more or less depending on the length of the individual songs you store.

Size: If you plan on using your MP3 player for entertainment while you exercise, you might want to consider the much smaller MP3 player models available. The drawback is that usually the smaller the player, the less music it can hold. Though as technology has advanced, sometimes even the smallest MP3 players can hold hundreds if not thousands of songs.

Format Compatibility: The phrase MP3 Player is commonly used to describe any type of digital audio player. Though almost all of these players are compatible with the MP3 file format, they can usually play many other types of file formats as well. When it comes down to format compatibility, it truly depends on where you will be getting your music. If you plan to "rip" your music straight from your CD's then you should be fine with just about any type of MP3 player, as you will usually have the option to "rip" the files in the MP3 format. If you plan on downloading your songs from iTunes, then your files will most likely be in the AAC format. Unfortunately, this file format is usually only compatible with iPods. Be sure to check an MP3 player is compatible with the file format the site you plan to download from currently offers before you make a purchasing decision.

Photos and Videos: If you will be relying on your MP3 Player to keep you entertained while away from home consider one that can display photos and videos. Many sites on the Internet are offering movies, shows, and other videos for consumers to view on their MP3 players. If you plan on only using your MP3 Player for listening to music, for example while you worked out, then an MP3 player without the photo and video capabilities will be just fine for you. Keep in mind that watching videos on an MP3 Player drains the battery out much faster than only listening to music.

Radio Tuners: Many MP3 Players on the market have FM tuners, which allow you to listen to the radio. This is perfect when you're tired of listening to your own songs and want to hear something new. Some players even have an FM Recording function, so you can record a song you like straight off the radio.

Games: If you plan on using your MP3 Player to keep you entertained while on the go, than you might want a player that has games that you can play. This added feature can make a difference in the level of entertainment you get from your digital audio player.

Voice Recording: You can find a lot of MP3 Players that have a voice-recording function. These players have a built-in microphone, which can be perfect for students who want to record lectures in the classroom.

Battery Life: Check to see how long the battery life of a particular MP3 Player is. If the battery life isn't as long as you plan to use it on a single charge, than it is best you look for something else. There's no point to having an MP3 player that requires you to constantly charge it for it to work.

Definitions:

Gigabytes: A unit of storage measurement consisting of one billion bytes (one thousand megabytes).

AAC Format: A file format developed by the MPEG group and similar in nature to mp3, though not as widely used. The AAC format is the format used by Apple's iTunes music download service.

LCD TVs Buying Guide

LCD TVs are a rage these days; largely because they are compact, convenient and the picture quality is great. But because of the substantial cost of the investment, it is crucial to make an informed decision, is case you are planning to buy one.

The twisted nemantic (TN) is the most commonly used type of liquid display used in a wide range of applications these days, including TVs, monitors and computers. A unique feature of this arrangement is that it reacts in predictable ways with light currents, depending on the voltage of the current supplied. Any LCD setup comprises of tiny particles called 'pixels' that are manipulated to present information of produce images, as and when they are turned on by the passage of light. Since, the pixels allows all wavelengths to pass through, the full light spectrum can be maneuvered to produce the desired color.

The obvious advantages of a LCD screen include shaper, brighter images, wider viewing angle and that it functions well under any light conditions. One issue that you need to be aware of is that the picture produced by an LCD screen depends on its dot-pitch-the term refers to the distance between sub-pixels of the same color adjoining pixel strands. The lesser the distance, the sharper, more realistic and detailed the image.

LCD screens come with in-built tuners and speakers, more often than not. This means that they are largely plug-in and watch devices. For this reason, LCD screens are ideal when space availability is one of the issues at hand.

The average life span of any of these displays is about 60,000 hours, which roughly means that even if you watch TV for 24 hours a day you would still take a out 7 years to wear out your LCD TV. Of course the light-source of your LCD is another matter. The latter is crucial especially for maintaining the 'white-balance' in your image. As the bulb ages the images can develop imbalances like red tints etc. In this regard, it crucial to invest in branded displays.

Even though you might end up paying more, it will be worth the investment. In some cases the warranty of the light source can be shorter than for the display. This in turn means that you will have to buy a whole new display because the coverage on the backlight has expired. In some sets the light is replaceable while in others it is built in the set itself. It is thus important to do an extensive research on the backlighting system of your prospective buys, about how it is structured and warranted.

Recommended LCD TV brands:

  • Sharp
  • Toshiba
  • JVC
  • Sony
  • Vu
  • Funai
  • Westinghouse Digital

The Nokia N95 mobile phone got released amidst much fun and fair and was one of the most anticipated handsets ever since its announcement. In consonance with its tagline, the handset's advent into the market only proved that computers can actually take that small a shape.

Nokia immediately started shipping its masterpiece into foreign shores that included Europe, Asia and Middle East. In the United States of America, the handset was sold only through Nokia flagship stores or its website, and no US carriers got to sell it. Soon, newer versions of the N95 mobile phone were announced, which supported AT&T/Cingular's 850/1900 MHz W-DMA bands. An updated 8 GB version too was announced for both the Asian and European markets. There is one significant difference that one would notice in the UK version of the phone though. The VoIP facility has been disabled from the phone and Nokia has installed their own firmware and has not used the Nokia generic software.

An integrated GPS receiver has been installed in this handset that provides free maps to the users. These can be downloaded either over the air or through the phone's built-in Wifi. Voice navigation and individual city maps are also available but after shelling out some fee for the services.

If You Want to Avoid Buying Cuisinart Coffee Maker Parts

I am using Cuisinart coffee maker parts as an example, because I owned a cuisinart DGB-600 and even after a year of using, it is still in great condition. So, I thought this would sort of give me some authority to share how to best maintained a coffee machine.

The fact is, if you look at Cuisinart DGB-600, you would probably think that this coffee machine would probably need some replacement parts in 3-6 months time. The reason being the filmsy nature of its parts and the many parts that it is having.

Now, the very first thing about maintenance of coffee machine is the location where you keep them. As most of these coffee brewers are armed with numerous electronic parts, exposing them to extreme temperature would lead to frequent breakdowns.

Placing your coffee maker too near to stove or windows is not a good idea. The heat from your cooking or the temperature outside your house would have an adverse effect on your machine.

Of course, kitchen counter top is the best place to put your brewer, that is where I put mine, and if I did not even spent a penny getting Cuisinart coffee maker parts after a year, I must be doing something right, don't you think so?

Next, would be the cleaning and maintenance of your machine. Although, it is difficult to keep to it, if you really want a long lasting machine, clean it after every use. Even if this meant cleaning it twice a day if you are using it 2 times a day.

Residual oil, after a while would turn rancid and this would eats into your coffee maker parts. Thus, rather than leaving it to chance, washing and cleaning it after every use is the best prevention from this happening.

If you are familiar with Cuisinart DGB-600, then you would know that it is alot of work to be cleaning this unit. So, if you think your Bunn or Mr coffee is difficult to wash, once you see mine, then there should be no complain, right?

Cleaning is an element that help me to maintain my coffee brewer and it got me some savings. In fact, regular washing would also ensure that your coffee is of good quality.

The last pointer is the frequency of your usage. If you are brewing half capacity 3 times a day, I would suggest to cut it to 2 or even 1 time if possible. This is because, the frequent usage would wear the parts faster.

Moreover, if you are brewing as and when required and the capacity is not full, you are also wasting electricity and effort. If you are not able to reach full capacity, then you should seriously consider a single serve coffee maker.

Getting a coffee maker that suits your lifestyle is the most important. Therefore, if you have chose a correct brewer, for my case a DGB-600, I only need to brew it once a day. And because it comes with thermal feature, I am able to have hot and fresh coffee for many hours with just one brew.

There you have it folks, some ideas to prolong the life span of your coffee machine and save some money in the process...

Be Careful About Your Projector and Lamp Refund and Warranty Policy

REFUNDS:

Obtaining a refund or exchange for a defective product or obtaining an exchange can be a daunting process in some cases. A no questions asked return or refund policy is rare but some merchants who are large enough do offer such terms. When the merchant actually does keep its word on such a policy, it is truly a benefit to the consumer. However, many merchants are not able to offer such terms but will provide refunds and exchanges if you comply with their terms.

One term is particularly present in most refunds or exchange policies is the necessity to return the lamp in its original packaging. Therefore, it is important that you retain all of the original packing for your lamp in a safe place for the duration of the warranty period or the exchange/refund period.

Some retailers do not accept returns or exchanges directly but require the consumer to deal directly with the manufacturer. You can imagine what time and effort it may take dealing with a major international manufacturer that you have not dealt with directly before to work through all the steps and comply with all of the details they require to obtain a refund or make an exchange when to start with they have no record of your purchase with the retailer.

Should you purchase a refurbished lamp in order to save on price, it is important to note that you may not be able to obtain a refund or exchange but only be able to return the item for repair. The time and trouble in such an instance would probably negate the savings on purchase.

In summary, consumers should be careful to understand what they are purchasing and what the merchant's policies are for refunds and exchanges prior to purchasing.

WARRANTIES:

Many consumers pay little attention to the warranties associated with their purchase of projector lamps. In most cases, consumers have been lulled into a false sense of confidence that when they see the word warranty all is well if they have a problem with the product they purchased.

While all OEM products generally come with a 90 day warranty, usually limited by certain terms, some retailers offer their own or extended warranties for the lamps they sell and often free. If on the merchant's web site you do not see any reference to a warranty, be sure what you are purchasing is an OEM lamp so that you will be assured of some protection. There are four types of warranties which retailers offer, although only one is very common:

Repair or Replace Warranty - A technician attempts to repair your projector either over the telephone or by a personal visit. If such efforts fail the projector is returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement, which takes a bit of time.

Return to Base Warranty - This is the most common warranty which requires the consumer to pack up the projector and return it to the manufacturer for repair. As with the repair and replace model, you may be without a projector for a while especially if repair parts are not readily available.

Swap-Out Warranty -This type warranty is the best for the consumer as the manufacturer will lend you a projector while yours is being repaired. If you use your projector regularly for business or pleasure, you should seek out this type of warranty.

Dead on Arrival Warranty - Similar to the Swap-Out Warranty, you can return the new defective projector immediately to the manufacturer, but instead of having it repaired, it will be replaced with a brand new projector

Some retailers offer extended warranties free and some charge extra for such a warranty, so check to see which type of warranty is offered. It is also important to know if a merchant says that the warranty is for a period of more than the standard 90 days the OEM manufacturer offers, whether the warranty is provided directly by the merchant in full or if they are providing an extended service under the same terms as the OEM's terms or are the extended terms significantly different.

Finally, dealing with retailers who have been around a long time, with a good reputation is advisable. Be particularly careful about warranty fine print as in many cases your failure to comply with every detail will void the warranty or provide an out for non-compliance with their policies no matter with whom you are dealing.

Are you wondering whether you should buy a Kindle or a netbook? We have researched the different options so you don't have to. Need to know what an IT person thinks, then go to http://www.boysbach.com

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Compared to the IPhone

The New Iphone is called the iPhone killer for a reason. Nokia is much more than a cheap copy of the iPhone. Nokia have really have made an big effort to compete against the iPhone with the Nokia 5800.

It's true that iPhone is a very good phone and that they somewhat created a whole new market for themselves. However Nokia is a big player on the market and they have had some time to create their new nokia 5800.

The price is also a big issue. The nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be cheaper. The iPhone is an expensive phone and if Nokia can compete with the price they can find new shares of the market.

The ones that already have bought an iPhone won't probably change for a similar phone by Nokia so you have to target other customers. There can even be an idea to lower the price significantly just to take as many shares of this market as they can with this first Nokia model to earn more on the following models when customers become lojal to the brand.

One of the news in the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the new handwriting feature. If it works properly it should make it easier to write shorter messages. You should also be able to have pictures of 4 friends on the front of the phone just to make it easier to contact those you call a lot. I really great thing by Nokia since there always are a few friends or girlfriend that you call much more often than others.

Unlike the iPhone the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic should be able to record video. I just don't understand why the iPhone don't have this feature. With the Nokia 5800 you should also be able to have video calls with your friends.

The Nokia 5800 is able to send MMS. I guess the fact that the iPhone can't send MMS is a big issue for some people. Another thing I don't understand why they didn't include. The Nokia 5800 has GPS unlike the iPhone. The new models of the iPhone comes with a GPS but not the older ones.

As a conclusion the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic seems at least as good as the iPhone. But it's hard to do a final judgement until you have tried it for yourself. Although I'm sure it will be a great phone.

Warning - Not Knowing This, When Choosing the Best Buy From LCD Or HDTV Plasma TVs Can Be Hazardous

Knowing HDTV terms that is entangled with terms such as CRT, LCD, Plasma, flat-panel, front or rear projection, to name but a few, can be a shock when you realize that you have to know some of what I am about to tell you.

CRT stands for Cathode Ray Tube and it is one of the oldest types of television. Other then being very heavy it has been a long lasting product. CTR TV was good while it lasted.

Since the television technology has changed to follow the higher definition success of the computer monitor, people has become accustomed to the better quality picture and sound that the later models differentiate from the older types of televisions.

To make it easy to understand we can say that this technological advancement can be categorized in 3 major developments. LCD, Plasma and then HDTV. What makes it difficult for many people that set out to buy a tv, is to understand all these terms. What makes it even more difficult is the fact that you now get LCD HDTV and Plasma HDTV.

Since you may want to buy one of the latest HDTV Plasma TVs and it may not be falling into the price range to fit your budget, I suggest you to educate yourself a bit towards the television technology and what you may get when you buy a cheaper tv of the shelf without getting to know the facts first.

The television that the most people currently have in their homes are the CRT we have looked at earlier. Since the quality of the tv's display now on average is about 3 times of what you are most likely looking at on your television, you may want to upgrade and buy a plasma HDTV.

What makes the picture of a HDtv Plasma tv a better quality than the older Cathode Ray Tube television? Other than developments that changed the way television screens handle the display, making the newer screens show smoother than their predecessors, they also increased definition.

An increase in definition is just showing more detail of the picture. The definition of the display is shown as the amount of pixels that lights up with different colors, making the picture appear real. More pixels cramped into a picture make the detail higher and hence the picture sharper.

But does it really matter if there are a significant difference in quality and sharpness? Watching a football game shown on two different types of television will make this clear. On the HDTV Plasma or LCD tv you will see things you will miss out on the older models. Yes, really!

Unless you specifically look for it you may see more detail looking at the closer objects without realizing why the picture is nicer to look at. But it is by looking at further objects, especially then when you realize what you are missing out on the standard quality tv.

If you are not sure whether to go for a HDtv LCD screen or to buy a HDTV Plasma tv, consider this 2 reasons why I prefer to to buy the LCD HDtv but would rather opt for the HDTV Plasma tv:

HDTV LCD may sometimes display a ghost effect and to make sure you are not displeased with your LCD HDTV purchase either watch it next to an HDTV Plasma screen or check the screens frequency against other more expensive models in the range of LCD tvs.

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. Since your TV will probably get dust and finger marks on it, you may now take note of the limitations that there are when you are going to consider cleaning your HD TV. Although newer LCD models may improve Plasma television screens are usually more user friendly when it comes to keeping them clean.

TIPS ON HOW TO BUY A HDTV: Gert Hough warns people not to just go out and buy the latest HDtv that they can afford without knowing more about high definition televisions. It takes only 2 minutes to understand the difference between HDTV Plasma TVs and HDTV LCD TVs.

These devices have undergone various developmental stages in the recent past that nowadays even an amateur can also start recording great video clips while on the move.

The latest and the high tech camcorders which are available these days come embedded with both audio and video recording capabilities.Few years back companies like Sony, and Kodak, etc., produced the analog video tapes. However the digital tapes came into being since 1990 and almost after three years the storage tapes were steadily replaced by the hard disk drives, optical disks and solid state memory. There are also certain camcorders, which do not require magnetic tapes, and are popularly known to the people as `tape-less`. Moreover there are gadgets which use two assorted media, such as HDD and Memory card, and they are called 'Hybrid Camcorders'.

Sony and Kodak both started enhancing the caliber of camcorders which resulted in the development of digital widgets in 1990. The cassettes which were used by them used to be very small that is just 8mm media . However the digital options improvised both the video and the audio quality when compared to the analog camcorders. Nowadays there are various models of digital gadgets in the market which are offered to the users in high quality and reduced price.

These gadgets are basically categorized by their embedded storage devices. The most popular digital formats which are available these days are the Betacam and the MiniDV etc., but they endure from certain generation loss due to editing, recording and dubbing. However this concerns can be driven away by managing these gadgets in a well organised manner. Moreover, there are certain positive and negative issues which are associated with the digital and the analog formats. Both have various specific features which make them the master in their own manner. One has to understand his or her varied requirements before plunging into any purchasing decision.

The three prime components of Latest Camcorders are the recorder, imager and the lens. The lens are primarily used to focus and direct light on the imager. The images works as the eye of the gadget which efficiently transforms the captured clips into electric video signals. The final work is then done by the recorder which elegantly encodes the video signals which are sent to them. The lens can be used to control the important optical operations like focus, aperture and shutter speed etc. Camcorders can be used for plethora of purposes and can be used even for filming events

Ready For a Colored Laptop?

Computers are one of the greatest additions to the way man works and accomplishes tasks in the 20th century and beyond. In the last 50 years, we have seen computers transition from the bulky equipment that used to be stored in the department of defense sites and huge research facilities. Today personal computers have become a way of life not only for many offices but homes as well. But nothing has revolutionized computers more than the fact that they have become smaller and more convenient to carry. Laptops have been the result of an industry striving to make working life even better. One in every 10 households now in the US has a laptop. So why have laptops become so popular?

One reason is because they are convenient. Before laptops became the norm, personal computing used to confined to home desktop computers and one had to wait until they get to their office or home to complete computer tasks. But now one can carry their work with them and complete it even as they travel. This has made it possible for work to be completed faster and in a more professional way.

Another reason why laptops have become increasingly popular is because they have now transitioned from being just work centers to media centers. This means that they are no longer simply used for working but also for entertainment. People who are on the road can also watch high resolution DVDs, listen to music and even share and edit them. That has become the reason why laptop buyers have become younger.

To cater to this market of young hip laptop users and consumers, many laptop companies have become more innovative. Colored laptops have been the result. Laptop buyers, no longer have to agree to the old generic colors which were mostly black and grey. There is now a wide choice. So where can one buy a colored laptop?

Laptop builders have began to cater to a market that is increasingly exotic. That is why companies like Dell have already began allowing buyers to customize their purchases right from their site. Other companies such as Alienware also allow buyers to specify how they want their laptops to look like. While requesting buyers to specify what additional features they want is not an entirely new concept (Dell has been extending that privilege to its customers for a few years now)the ability to customize even the color is a new concept especially when it comes to laptops.

Just the same way cell phone manufactures became sensitive to their users requests for specific customization and even produced phones that appeared gender specific (pink phones), laptop makers have answered the call to produce laptops that cater to different people's color preferences. That is why laptops can now come in almost every color of the rainbow and we are bound to see this variety in many electronic stores in the near future. This gives laptop users an even better reason to go out and get one.

Theodore provides detailed information on pink laptops and colored laptops, used, refurbished and new laptops for sale.

Buy Online and Save Money on Your Next HDTV Screen

In the ever-expanding area of the internet and while on-line shopping proves safer and more popular than ever, investing your hard-earned money in something like a new TV is still a huge capital outlay. Many people, understandably, do not want to spend their money without having seen what the picture is like first.

However, there are tremendous advantages by buying your HDTV on-line and more than ever there is now enough knowledge out there to help you to choose the most appropriate product without ever having to go into a store.

The internet offers independent and wide-ranging advice in a way that you seldom find in retail stores. Most people do not like the feeling of being pushed into a sale and at the end of the day there is only the opinion of one person who tells you which TV to buy. On-line, you will find tens or even hundreds of reviews on the TV you might be looking at. These are often by experts, or by consumers like yourself, who have bought and watched the specific TV and share their experience with you.

The other major advantage is that on-line shopping is almost always cheaper than traditional retail stores. Most stores build the price of their overheads- the store space, their staff and the daily running costs, into the price of their products. By buying on-line the prices are normally significantly discounted, since the overheads are so much lower and hence not passed onto you.
By buying on-line you can often gain access to bargain deals that you would seldom find on the high street. Many retail stores get rid of factory seconds or previously display TV's that can be sold at massively discounted prices.

Understandably, people might be careful about buying on-line. However, from a security perspective on-line shopping is normally very safe as long as you follow certain clear guidelines. Only purchase products form an established provider - the importance of this cannot be overstated. Make sure that they offer a secure site for your credit or debit card transactions. Better still, use a facility such as Paypal, as this third party service not only protects your bank details but also insures your purchase if someone tries to use your details in fraudulent transactions.

Some people might be concerned buying on-line, in that, if they buy a TV on-line without having seen it first, that they will be stuck with it. However, the consumer is protected by the Distance Selling Regulation (DSR) that aims to protect consumers by enabling them to return items purchased on-line within seven working days. During this period you may return your TV without providing any reason and the company has to provide you with a full refund less the postage costs. The DSR (Distance Selling Regulation) ensures that you receive the peace of mind when buying your HDTV over the internet. DSR is only applicable when there has been no face to face contact between the consumer and the provider, thus, if you have spoken to someone in a store and then bought the TV on-line, you will not be eligible for this protection. DSR also does not apply to purchases done on e-Bay unless you have used the Buy It Now feature.

So, when you shop right and you shop smart while keeping these basic point in mind, you will find that you can save yourself hundreds of pounds by shopping on-line. Since shopping on-line is the new future, there are now many protective measures in place to make sure that you, the consumer, can do your shopping form where you want, when you want to.

Plasma TV Technology - Screen Burn

Screen Burn? What exactly is Screen Burn and how is it avoided? Screen burn sounds like a serious disease of sorts, and I guess one could call it a disease of 'Plasma displays'. Simply speaking, screen burn is image retention or the lingering shadow of an image on a darkened screen. Some of the pixels have been damaged due to age or use and because they function from a light source, they are dimmer than undamaged pixels. This happens with repeated use because the damaged pixels then develop a memory from color info provided to it over a period of time. This information is repeatedly used over and over and is more or less 'burned' into the screen forming the outline of the static image on the screen. Once an image is burned onto a screen, it is permanently damaged. Then the screen will need to be replaced. However, these tips can help prevent this from happening to a new screen.First - turn off the Plasma television when it is not being watched because it will leave a static image on the screen. Also, when 'pausing' a DVD, do so briefly so as to avoid the potential for 'Screen Burn'. A static image develops from ghosting (light burn) to a permanent burn.

The plasma screen of a new television is more prone to image retention, 'Burn', during the first couple of hundred hours of use because the phosphors are new and burn more intensely. This will, of course, intensify a possible 'ghosting' effect. This situation usually corrects itself when subsequent pictures are shown. Just remember that the longer a static image is left on a new screen, the more likely it is that simple 'ghosting' will change to a permanent burn. A good way to prevent this is to keep the contrast set at a level up to fifty percent since this will keep the phosphors from heating to a greater intensity. Keep in mind that the greater the contrast and intensity, the more chance of permanent image retention. Use all the plasma television's features - the reset or anti-burn feature. These are settings designed to reset or recalibrate the pixel intensity levels and decreases the potential for burn - ghosting. This recalibration needs to be done after about one hundred hours of viewing. This process affects the phosphor lifespan so use it only when necessary. Another important point - do some comparison shopping because some popular brands seem to be plagued with this problem. Another important tip - use all television settings in the Owner's Manual - full-time picture shift, automatic screen-saver, etc.

As previously mentioned, some brands of plasma screens are more prone to burning, so be aware of scaling as it, too, is related to this type of problem. Be sure the new monitor has adequate scaling as a scaling of 4:3 allows comfortable viewing of widescreens. Don't leave the black horizontal bar displayed at the bottom of the screen for a prolonged period of time - this is considered static imaging. It is best to watch all programming in 'full-screen' for maximum viewing benefits.

Higher quality televisions are less likely to suffer 'ghosting' and 'burn', but once the screens have been used properly (avoiding the errors noted prior and utilizing the tips provided), any screen of lesser quality is less likely to encounter problems with image retention.

Advanced technology and research and development in entertainment communications assure improvements in this area. This is not a problem that should create worries for the average consumer because caution and care will go a long way to improve your plasma viewing experience. Proper care and attention to what is being displayed and for what length of time it is on the screen will a go a long way in extending the life of a new plasma monitor.

Comparative Review on the Brand and Features of Plasma and LCD TVs - Helping Consumers Choose

Are you experiencing a great confusion because you don't know which of the 100 TV brands of television to choose? Adding to your burden is the fact that these 100 brands have their own 100 models and each has 100 sizes of screens and comes with different features. Worry no more, this review will help you decide.

The first issue to address is what type of television to select. Is it Plasma TV or LCD TV? Are they really different from each other? Let us compare their features and find out which one meet your needs.

1. Size of the screen: Some of the questions that you need to ask are: Do you need a large or small TV screen? What should be the exact dimension of the TV? What is the space area of the room where you will put the TV?

When it comes to the price of large screen Plasma Televisions, they are relatively cheaper than that of large screen LCD Televisions.

LCD Television has slimmer design than Plasma TVs.
2. Picture quality: There are some TV programs that require high resolution televisions. Examples of this are game and movie programs. They require crystal clear and real time images. For this issue, Plasma Televisions have some drawbacks and some benefits.

One disadvantage of the Plasma TV is its "burn area" feature which is absolutely not present on LCD TVs. The burn area feature usually burn the picture in the region when a picture stays on the screen for a period of time. For example, when watching news program on CNN channel for 15 minutes, you will notice that when you turn off the TV, the shadow of the CNN logo is still on the screen.

On the other hand, Plasma TV beats LCD TV when it comes to picture contrast and on picture clearness and brightness even on dim regions. LCD televisions still need improvement with regard to these specifications. This problem is still present on LCD Televisions although they have made some changes on them. At least, Plasma TVs and LCD TVs have minimum difference on this area now. Unlike Plasma TVs, LCD TVs have a tendency to make the image turn gray and this worsens the clearness of the picture particularly its Color.

3. Angle of View: The viewing angle of the television affects its image quality and clarity. In LCD TV, 160 to 175 is the maximum viewing angle. However, as the angle of view is augmented, the quality and clarity of the image worsens. Contratry to that, even at a decent 160 degree viewing angle, the Plasma TV is able to sustain good quality images.

4. Life of the TV screen: LCD TV manufacturer brag that their screen can last up to 40 years if one will use it at 4 hours a day while Plasma TV screen life will only last 20 years. Despite this claim, you can only rely on the minimum of 20 years screen lifespan for LCD TV and for Plasma TV, it would only be around 10 years.

5. Power Usage: You may notice upon purchase of Plasma TV that it is less expensive than LCD TV. However, you may not be aware that the power consumption of Plasma TV is much higher than that of LCD TVs. In this case, you will end up
Conclusion: Choose a television according to your preference like the size or purpose.

If you prefer a TV with a really large screen with excellent quality and you have an allotted fund, then take the Plasma TV. However, if you are aiming to have a TV for games, music and other special purposes, then you better get the LCD TVs!

Buying Phone Cords - Deliver Your Message With the Right Phone Cords

Phone cords are something that we take for granted until we are unable to use the phone or use the internet because of some faulty connection. Before you shop for a telephone cord, it helps to know what the different types of phone cords are. But before that, it's good to familiarize yourself with the basic functions of a telephone cord so you know what to look for. A telephone cord acts as the connector between the wall jack, the base unit and the headset. If you are placing your phone far away from the wall jack, then you should go for types of phone cords that are longer and can double as extension cords.

RJ-11

The RJ-11 phone cord is one of the most common types of phone cords in the United States. If you go to most homes and check their telephone lines, you will see that they are using this type of telephone cord. The RJ-11 features a jack that has six connectors and two pins.

RJ-12

At firt look, the RJ-12 phone cord resembles the RJ-11 that an unexperienced buyer may confuse the two cords. However, the RJ-12 cord has four wires while the first one only has two. The two extra wires are designed to signal when certain lines in a phone system are in use.

RJ-14

Just like the RJ-12, the RJ-14 telephone cord features four wires. This telephone cord is suitable for homes and offices which have a second phone line attached to the main one.

Seek expert advice

Before you start shopping for a telephone cord, you may want to consult an expert first. A salesman may talk you into buying an expensive model and you can end up finding out that it's not the right one for your type of phone or phone system. To be safe, talk to your phone company and ask them what kind of cords you should buy.

Tips For Getting the Best Recordings Through Your Camcorder

Filming memorable moments and watching them over and over again enables you to visit the good old times you had. This is enjoyable if your clippings have been shot well and are worth viewing. It happens so that your son's first birthday shooting has been futile as the video was too noisy or the lighting was a letdown. Your unforgettable trip footage has been ruined because the image was too grainy and the clippings were not clear. Did these mishaps occur even though you had an expensive digital camcorder? It might have been a Sony, Canon or Wespro camcorder but the result will be a disappointment if you wouldn't know the techniques of using a camcorder in the best possible manner to get satisfactory results.

Most camcorders have automated focus function which isn't the best option to use. The automatic focus will many a times get the wrong person in focus and ruin your recording. It is thus advisable to manually set your focus if it is possible. If not then just zoom in to your concerned focus and then zoom out, the camcorder will get the focus and stick on to it. Auto-focus takes up lot of battery juice, as it has to track for focus, manual focussing will save on your battery back up. The digital zoom option is placed close to your fingers and is temptingly luring you to use it. However it is strongly recommended that you do not use the digital zoom, rather opt for the optical zoom feature. The optical zoom magnifies an image where as digital zoom just enlarges the image. The optical zoom should be preferred for close-up shots or better, get close to the object you are trying to capture.

The low-light performance of the camcorder is vital in indoor shoots and home videos. Arranging the white-balance is essential, as it will give out more crisp colours. Most of the camcorders have image stabilization option which will ensure somewhat stable imaging. It is recommended that you use a tripod to guarantee stable video shooting and avoid the instability of your hold. If you want your videos to get a pulsating feel then avoid the monotony of the tripod. It is advisable to shoot from different angles and show different perspectives to give a feel which cannot be added while editing.

Checking on the sound quality of the video is crucial as most of the in-built microphones are very sensitive and pick up the most subtle sounds. What You Don't Know About Solar Powered Chargers

As the environment and the need to protect it becomes more main stream, the increase in eco-friendly products has exploded over the past few years. Green alternatives to standard products are becoming more and more common.

Solar Power Chargers

Solar Power technology is rapidly coming down in price and making it affordable to the masses. Many new solar powered devices are now flooding the market as cheaper alternatives than electrical plug-ins.

Countries like Spain, France, Australia and South Africa already use solar technology in many areas including street lighting and water tank heating.

Solar Powered Chargers can be found in many electrical stores and on websites as an alternative to mains powered chargers. There are a number of large reputable brands in the marketplace already who have developed universal portable solar chargers, which have many uses. Imagine the following scenarios:

So why would you buy one?

As an explorer, extreme sportsman or a tribesman you are unlikely to have a means to charge your mobile phone in case you need to call for help. You can be very isolated from civilisation and the emergency services that they provide, so the ability to keep your mobile phone charged as a lifeline is paramount. The solar power charger does exactly this and has helped many people around the world already.

Solar power chargers work particularly well for small devices, as the power needed is significantly less. So solar power can now be used as a direct replacement for rechargeable batteries. The solar panel means you'll never have to rely on the power grid to use your phone.

How does it work?

In an ideal world, you need a good 8 to 10 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge the battery of your solar powered charger which you can then use it to charge your mobile phone each night. If you don't have direct sunlight, solar powered chargers will charge in cloudy conditions, but if it's cloudy expect it to take 24 to 48 hours for a charge. The internal battery can hold a charge for up to one year, so you could charge it once, throw it in a drawer and use it in an emergency to charge your phone which is more often than not when your mobile phone hasn't been charged and you need it most!

Generic solar powered chargers comes with a cable that uses a variety of tips for Nokia phones, Motorola and USB powered devices such as iPods and iPhones.

The biggest positive of a solar powered charger is cheap charging, you benefit from unlimited recharging of a variety of electronic devices for free. Solar powered chargers are also a cheap form of insurance against an emergency whilst doubling as a handy device anytime you might need some extra power.

In a era of wi-fi hotspots and hot desking a solar powered charger makes sense.

IPod Mini Cheap

The iPod mini was a smaller version of Apple Computer's iPod portable audio player. It was announced on January 6, 2004, and released on February 20 of that same year. The device interoperated with both Macintosh and Windows PCs, with limited third-party support for Linux and other Unix workalikes. A second generation version was announced on February 23, 2005. The iPod mini line was discontinued on September 7, 2005, after being replaced by the iPod nano.

The device retained the popular touch-sensitive scroll wheel of the third generation iPod; however, instead of the four touch buttons located above the wheel, the buttons were once again made mechanical beneath the wheel itself (hence, the new wheel was known as a "click wheel"). To access one of the four buttons, a user physically pushed the edge of the wheel inward over one of the four labels. Like its predecessors, the wheel was developed for Apple by Synaptics. The click wheel is now also used in the fourth and fifth generation iPods as well as in the iPod nano; although in the case of the nano + 5G iPods, the clickwheel is now developed in-house, as opposed to Synaptics.

Above the wheel was a monochrome display which showed menus or information about the currently selected track. Newer generation iPods have since moved to colour displays.

Details
The two generations of the iPod mini were externally almost identical, with the differences lying in their storage and battery capacities. Both versions were 3.6 by 2.0 by 0.5 inches (91 by 51 by 13 mm) and weighed 3.6 ounces (102 grams). Its case was composed of anodized aluminum. First generation iPod minis were available in five colors: silver, gold, pink, blue, and green. The gold model was dropped from the second generation range due to unpopularity. Also in the second generation updates, the green, blue, and pink colors were all made much brighter. The silver model remained unchanged. While the button labels were gray on the first generation iPod, the second generation iPod sported button labels that matched the color of the case.

The iPod mini used ultra-thin Compact Flash Microdrive hard drives made by Hitachi. First generation models were available in a 4GB size, while second generation models were available in both 4GB and 6GB versions (capable of storing roughly 1,000 and 1,500 songs, respectively) and eventually had the drive size laser etched on the case to help distinguish between the two. Apple laser etched 2 lines of 32 characters each on the top of the reverse side of the iPod mini for free as a promotion in the first generation and continued through the second generation, which had originally cost additional money.

The battery life of the first generation of iPod mini was about 8 hours (similar to the 3G iPod that was available when the mini was released), which led to some criticism of the battery's short duration. This problem was addressed in the second generation models which had a claimed battery life of about 18 hours. However, the 2nd generation iPod minis no longer came with a FireWire cable or an AC power adapter, which were left out to reduce the selling prices of the new iPod minis. iPod mini batteries tend to run down to 80% capacity after 400 full charge cycles.

A proprietary dock connector was provided on the bottom of the device for a connection to a computer (Hi-Speed USB or FireWire). The unit's battery was charged during connection. Along the top it had a hold switch, a headphone jack, and a remote port for accessories.

The second generation iPod mini had deeper colors and the capacity of the model engraved on the back.Like the iPod, the iPod mini supported MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV, AIFF, and Apple Lossless audio formats. It also retained the iPod's seamless integration with iTunes and the iTunes Music Store, allowing for true auto-sync between the software application and the iPod mini.

Original pricing for the iPod mini was US$249 for the first generation (4GB model). The release of the second generation lowered the starting price to $199 and kept the 4GB model. An increased-capacity 6GB model sold for $249.

Buying a Refurbished Digital Camera - How Do You Decide?

Buying a refurbished digital camera could be a very good buy, or it could end in disaster if you purchase a substandard camera, or from an unscrupulous retailer. By simply keeping a few things in mind, it is possible to stay clear from the worst.

Firstly, having decided which refurbished digital camera you would like to buy, go and search for recommendations. You could talk to friends, to photographers, and visit online photographic discussion forums. Try to gain some background information on the basic reliability and capabilities of the camera, but also of backup service, both from the retailer and the manufacturer. There is nothing worse than buying an digital camera, only to find out it cannot be fixed when it breaks.

Have a good look at the warranty. Is it carried by the retailer, or the manufacturer? If it is the retailer, is it s reputable company? Note the time span, as well as any possible limitations. Lastly, check for manuals, cables, and any software needed to download you pictures and videos.

Try to find out more about the specific item. Is it really a refurbished digital camera, or is it simply a returned purchase? It may have been returned for a variety of reasons, including a bad choice of purchase, or the buyer may have found it too complicated to use. In such cases, the camera is officially second hand, and may not be sold as new, even though it comes with a full warranty. You will get a great deal.Lastly, ask the dealer or salesperson to demonstrate it, so you can see how it works. This way, you will be able to see if it works properly, without having to raise the issue of checking it, and possibly causing embarrassment.

Touch of Color - A Review on Samsung LCD TV

What is the LCD Touch of Color anyway? You may ask. Is it a publicity stunt of Samsung, a technological innovation, or simply a marketing strategy thought by Samsung? Maybe we can say that it is a little bit of each.

The competition in the market in LCD TV has been increasing over the years. One must stand out in the market to get noticed. Samsung has thought of a brilliant plan to do this. They introduced Touch of Color to the market. This proved to be successful because they turned out to be a hit among the consumers as they are wildly sought after. The design of Touch of Color is unique. It has a distinctive amber color which is combined with the conventional black for an elegant and attractive appearance. People want their television to still look attractive like a piece of art even though it is not being used. Other manufacturers are expected to follow this trend with their own unique features in the years to come.

The design of Touch of Color is made for the outside of the TV. It does not make any sound or light up when turned on. But of course, the more important thing there is whether your TV will perform brilliantly when you turn it on. Samsung does not let you down. It offers 1080 pixel picture for an ultimate HD resolution which delivers to you clear and crisp images capturing the real meaning of high definition TV.

Response time offered by Samsung TV is 4ms and the frame rate is 120 Hz. Their Auto Motion Plus technology has the ability to double the frame rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. This technology allows the TV to alter between framed for a smooth shifting. This makes it great for watching sports or other shows and movies which have many fast moving actions since this model of LCD handles motion well unlike the earlier models.

Samsung TV offers a contrast ratio of 50,000:1, a great improvement from the previous year 25,000:1. Contrast ratio establishes the ability of the TV to generate dark blacks or dazzling whites. Having a higher contrast ratio will help avoid an image that is washed out which can be observed in TVs that have lesser contrast ratio.

Using a built-in Ethernet port, access to free RSS new, stocks, weather, sports, and many more is made possible by InfoLink.

The design of Touch of Color is sure to be a big hit with consumers. This might probably start a drift towards having TV as an art piece instead of just a simple TV. The superb design of Samsung's Touch of Color will certainly be worth your money.

Massage Chair Review - Sanyo DR6700K Recliner

This is a review of a Sanyo massage chair. The model DR-6700K is one of the top massage recliners produced by Sanyo. We will walk through an evaluation of 5 separate categories and provide a score out of a possible 20 points each. A total rating is given by adding up the scores. This provides a basis of comparison for the other massage loungers that we have reviewed. Let us see how the HEC-DR6700K massage recliner stacks up to the competition.

Warranty & Customer Service: You want to make sure that you get sufficient warranty protection with your massage chair. These are complex machines and you want to be protected down the road. So what type of warranty do you get with the DR6700K? This recliner comes with 3 years on the roller mechanism. You also get 1 year of parts and also 1 year of labor. In home technician repair service is also provided for the first year free of charge. This is a pretty good warranty of this level of massage chair. Sanyo has now established a national call center for warranty issue and provides good service. We rate the warranty and customer service an 18.

Comfort & Ergonomics: You need to make sure that a massage chair fits your body type well and that all the main features are easily accessible. This is the goal of this category. The DR-6700 is a comfortable recliner to sit in. The back pad is soft and well padded. The head pillow is adjustable and supports the head well. The remote is well within reach and has larger buttons for the important automatic massage programs. We give the DR 6700 an 18 for comfort and ergonomics.

Ease of Use: This category takes a look at how easy the chair is to use for the average person. We have seen some overly complicated remotes which require too many steps to get the chair to do what you want. The remote control has 4 automatic programs which operate off one touch. Manual programs are a little bit more involved which requires a few steps to get the chair where you want. The intensity and width adjustments have a nice phased LED to show the power levels. Overall, we rate the Sanyo DR6700 a 17 in ease of use.

Key Features: The two extraordinary massage features in the DR6700 are the Stiffness detection system and the GK rollers. The Stiffness detection system is borrowed from Sanyo's lie detector technology. This system actually measures your pulse rate and the extent of your perspiration. This is done by reading your finger when you hold onto the secondary remote control. The DR6700 can locate areas of tension and stress in your body. These readings are then feed to the computer and those areas are targeted for relief. The other important feature is the GK rollers in the roller mechanism. These nimble rollers can massage over the tops of the shoulders for a soothing and relaxing massage. We give the DR-6700 an 18 for key features.

Massage Therapy: The DR 6700 has 4 automatic one-touch massage programs. The programs are as follows: Stiffness, Recovery, Fine and Relax. There are also manual massage techniques which include the following: Grip, Shiatsu, Kneading, Tapping and Combo. Each of these techniques is specialized with a particular movement to loosen or revitalize tight and sore muscles. In manual mode, just select the intensity of the massage to be more or less invigorating or select the width of the rollers to cover the areas of your back that you need attention. Target specific areas by selecting the region which includes: neck and shoulders, lower back, lower body and quick course. You have a lot of good options to choose from with the DR-6700. Our rating of the massage therapy is 19

How did the HEC DR6700K do in our review? We scored this massage chair recliner 90/100 points. There are a number of great massage therapy courses for soothing, deep relief. The neck and shoulders get good relief with the GK roller system. Some of the advanced electronic features are unique and innovative. The warranty is solid. This is a good massage chair recliner at a good price.
